Anyway, there's already 39/969 from Tampines to Yishun and 85/965 from Sengkang/Punggol to Yishun, so mainly the loads come from Tampines to Sengkang/Punggol.

IMHO Sv. 27 and 34 should be kept the way it is. But there should be a new route from Sengkang to Tampines to ease congestion on Sv. 27.

Like that SBST Sv. 164 can help ease Sv 27 load and link Tampines North and East to Sengkang.

Sorry but I really don't quite understand the logic.
Ok. Let's put it down. Sv. 27 has the demand from SKang to TPines. And TPines to A'port.
Sv. 34 has demand which is intra-Tampines and TPines to A'port.
Both services got their own purpose. But then Sv. 27 has a crazy frequency. You should know it. It has happened b4 that 4 buses came at one time.
So ease the frequency by adding a new sv. from SKang to duplicate 27's Sengkang journey. And end it thru a loop at Tpines North and East. Maybe you could be more clear on... erm what do you mean...

Firstly, there's no change in Service 27.
What I suggested was a merger of Service 34 and 85 and it will become Service 34. So Service 34 is from Yishun to Changi Airport,
Yishun > Sengkang > Punggol > Tampines > Changi Airport
Changi Airport > Tampines > Punggol > Sengkang > Yishun
But then Service 34M is different from the 'extended' Service 34.
Service 34, from Tampines goes through Punggol first when towards Yishun (hi-lighted Red), but Service 34M goes through Sengkang and but it will not continue its journey. (Tampines > Sengkang, similar to Service 27)
The purpose of Service 34M is to ease the loads of Service 27.
How??
- When people are waiting for Service 27, Service 34M arrives and the people board it, the next Service 27 comes will have lesser commuters.
- People living in Tampines but does not have Service 27 at the bus stop nearest to them need not transfer anymore and can just take Service 34M. Likewise, It will lessen the commuters on Service 27.

Ok okie. But remember that SMRT has 858 which plies that segment of Yishun - Changi Airport. I don't know how well Sv. 85 is doing, really. But I think if it is doing well, then it should remain as it is. But if the operators decide against having a route duplicate to Sv. 27 to relieve loads, then Sv. 34 should go Punggol thru its estate, then to Sengkang, duplicating the Sv. 27 route there. Then it will take TPE to Tampines where it will remain on the current Sv. 34 route to Changi Airport PTB 2.

Oh btw, SBS n SMRT, why did you delete your post shortly after posting it???

Okays, now i finally get what you means, but instead of extending the route of 34, why not add buses on 27, a increase in 4S and 2 AP will ease the load comfortably,
ANd i deleted my post due to type wrongly, but nvm......
they need 27A.
& they need to make sure 27A comes before 27, not one minute behind. ![]()

quite hard, must ask BC lambat...........
penalising punggol people by extending their fast connection to tampines is not the way.. it'll only motivate them to get their own set of wheels. ![]()

It is becoz 27 has SO MANY buses that the route becomes laughable. I can't see how SBST can add more buses to 27. Then maybe frequency would go even lower to 3 min or less at peak. Imagine the backlog of Sv. 27 BCs having break at PTB2 Changi AIrport. Not a very nice scenario. A DD would be good for this route, if only Changi Airport didn't have that height restriction...

When you have a frequency like 27 and loads which are absolute madness, there is really not much diff. I've seen how one 27A was packed to the doors and the 27, one min later, was ALSO packed till the doors. Trust me. That happening at Compassvale Road must be one of the reasons why 27 cannot go round SKang town.

Oh come on, Sv. 34 doesn't even past thru Punggol Field and Punggol Central(where the majority of Punggol residents live)... If it is really a Punggol connection then it would have to go thru Punggol estate mah...
