Enhancement of service 52
Service 52M - Terminate at Jurong East Int (existing route)
Service 52B - from Clementi MRT to Bishan via Jurong West St 91
Bishan - Jurong West St 91 (loop) (service 99 will be remove)

Any suggestions on merger? Until now merger of services 37 & 69, of 181 & 333, of 83 & 87 and of 52 & 99 have been discussed.
there should be a balance of short and long routes. if its gonna mean changing so many routes too long ones. i dun think its feasible.

I mean for those routes that have many repetitions between each other or those that can be merged together but do not cause lots of problems (like short routes merging with short routes creating "medium" routes; an example of a short route is 181). However the advantage of merging into long routes is the usage of express routes.
Merge 26 and 73.

Some minor amendments of service 196 to ply NUS science fac rather than Dover.
There are several reasons for choosing service 196.
Reason 1: Service 95 is always jam packed during peak hrs probably due to its frequency. People have to take shuttle bus to Computer centre to take 95 or 96 there when going home. Service 196 can help to alleviate service 95 load by 1. providing a link from Buona Vista to NUH and NUS, 2. providing a link from Clementi to NUH, NUS.
Reason 2: There are already 3 services going to Bedok from Dover. Service 14, 33, and finally 196. 2 services 14, 196 go to clementi. 14, 166 go to Dover MRT. 2 services 14 and 196 from there go to bukit merah central. Service 33 ply the Alexandra Rd area. In addition, the residential areas are situated near the main road North Buona Vista Rd. Residents who want to go to Shenton Way can walk out around 300 metres to the main road to take 196.
In conclusion, service 196's route is the most suitable for amendments to NUS. Besides, dds can be deployed onto this new route since the bridge at the junction between Lower Kent Ridge Rd and Kent Ridge Cres is 4.5 metres which is as high as a normal overhead bridge.
Looks like 48 will be amended to serve NUS soon.

look at service 113.. actually 113 should be townlink and not trunk since the service loop within Hougang Area.
two feeder merge into one trunk..

Maybe if they want trunk then can extend 181 off somewhere else... merge with 334 maybe? Instead of 333 as suggested above.
Or maybe do both 334 and 333 then go to jurong east? Then can merge 335 with something else haha.

And a route suggestion. 40 use Geylang East Central, 155 cut out that LONG LOOP in macpherson estate (thought of this for a long long time liao, but never post)

Good idea, but too long. A merge of 99 and 96 could be more feasible.

A merger between 198 and 192 as well as other Tuas and JIS services) is IMO not feasible as both are considered middle distances two-directional services and if merged the routes will be quite long (43 fare stages in both directions). Furthermore for places like Lok Yang and Tuas they only needs a bus link to the nearest MRT station that's why you never see Tuas having a direct bus service to other parts of sg.
As for 99 and 242, if you have noticed, both services duplicates much in JW Neighbourhoods 7 & 9 only that 242 goes to Boon Lay while 99 goes to Boon Lay and other parts of JW. However both have big riderships and if merged there will have lots of problems.
Also, the merger of 99 and 52 will mean a longer route and furthermore it is a loop service.
I would prefer such kind of merging:
98/98M and 333 - It will follow 333's route from JE Int until turning to Jurong East St 32 before proceeding to the current 98/98M route in Jurong East Ave 1.
60 and 18 - Eunos to Tampines via Bedok Ctrl.
