  not bad. haven listen yet, but can imagine. usually only one door closing bell not working.

  9313P, very quiet VO3x, very soft radiator noise (hard to find, most of the other VO3x radiator noise very loud), aircon is good.

  So....this one is recommend or un-recommend.

  Speaking of MKIV DMs.....just uncovered another 4 speed voith MKIV....SBS884S. I know I'm one heck slow though.

  very hard to discern 4-speeders and 3 speeders if theyre not on the hwy..the last gear doesent kick in till late.

  Just flipped through my records which stated that I discovered it as a cameo on 161 (highway of course) years ago.

  Getting old liao.

  But then no need to be highway.....I discovered 894M on Orchard Rd.

  i discovered 905R when it was 27.. i knew it was a Voith, but its 4th gear only kicked in loooooooong after we were on the highway.

  So I guess right...905R is ineed another 4 speed.

  The thing about 4 speed voiths is that from what I guess, it is not as simple as the 3 speed version with additional overdrive. Those with 4 speed tend to have better torque generated to the axle. So a hint to looking out for such buses would be the pick-up speed. It is slightly better.

  recommend SBS 9133S, good speed, good acceleration, smooth and quiet ride. also recommend SBS 916J, good speed and good acceleration, also quite smooth and quiet. aircon is rather good as well.

  for a unrecommended bus, has anyone tried SBS 9529J? seems like already struggling already with the speed. the door closing bell now rings up when the exit doors open. rather bad suspension. aircon is not so good.

  SBS 2637B also. very loud and have a "whistling" sound.

  I recommend TIB1001Z. The good thing is very, very fast acceleration. How fast? 4th gear in or around 10 seconds. Not joking. Imagine a KUB gearbox shifting. Very fast.

   

  Got me to Sembawang 5/8 the usual time :)
