Poor SBS9072J on 154 kena thrashed. Now its drivetrain components got problem, resulting in a sound that resembles a choochoo train.
Alot of times the gearbox refused to shift, and shifts only when the BC lightens the trottle,resulting in a loud "CLUNK!" sound and a thud can be felt throughout the bus.

Just to revive this topic, i came across this vid @ youtube about malfunctioning of the SBST's O405's rear doors. Happened to me b4 while on svc 105 too.

Me too, i tot im only the one sia. When i upload files to mediafire, it will say that the uploading of file is complete, but the problem is that when it comes to verifying of file, it will keep verifying like forever & it wont show me the link of my uploaded file. U should try using www.4shared.com to upload files & its similar to mediafire, but its more easier to use.

just to revive it. i took 3749E a few weeks back. at Dhoby Ghaut another similar incident happened.

The best place to record the sound of a bus is above the rearmost (driving axle). If you sit too far back, the engine and airconditioning compressor will drown out all transmission and axle noises.

If anyone would like to record engine sound only, can try the Sentosa's B12BLEA beach tram. Can totally hear the DH12E running. I recorded it and placed it on my RoR. Works really fine.
