  I always got this question - The UDs have two rear types ar? One is like this rear and the other one is more "rounded"

  no. i believe that 1 has been modified due to an accident with a heavy vehicle i.e. a truck.

  The rounded rear is the original Nissan UD design. All these rears I believe that they were being modified from those Hino HT238K buses which were phased out in 2002-2004. So far CSS196H, CSS205R and CSS207K has such rears ever since they were in CSS livery.

  and the original rounded windows look much better than these

  I can't hold it back. My tears are welling up whenever i see these pics. Donnoe why it's only this particular model of bus that just makes me feel so nostalgic cuz it doesn't happen to when i see the SBST's MKIIs, N113s and O405s going off.

  LOL. I remember those were deployed on bus service 857. the old 857 route to Admiralty, not to Suntec. Entire 857 fleet on those aircon Nissans.

   

  Also TIB279 and TIB280 aircon buses using the blue cloth to display service number (852). Awesome. That was like in 1988.

  Think service 825 also had these buses with blue cloth destos too, remembered taking the bus in 1993.

  NAC use red cloth, roller type kind.

  remembered saw off service Service 852 NAC bus got no. 85X & 852 on the cloth

  There are only two UDs on 178 today - TIB370P (Tiger Beer) and TIB1248D (Kellogg's).

  Have the others all been scrapped?
