  I was on it, then it suddenly broke down! Gearbox problem... SBS8031J is now officially temporarily out of service!

  Paris Ris starter told me the bus just ended trip on 19P at 17:24 but scheduled for immediate washing as the bus was dirty. Replacement bus unknown/00000.

  Isn't this the same kind of problem that put SMB 1H out of action when it came out on it's first day?

  Random excuses by Pasir Ris Starter.....same to BC also...one BC play with DDU, when i ake him, he says EZ link card reader got problem for him to retify.

  Yes, Voith seems to be either associated with being hardy or as Hong Kong folks would put it, easy to climb grades without shifting constantly and able to retain power.

  The replacement bus is a MK4 DM 3500

  One word: Noisy!

  The bus could only manage 1st and 2nd.

  What else could be worse?

  It was 9844Z on 161! Fortunately I did not have to take it on TPE then.

  9844? i took it before and it went about 60+ on TPE/SLE. although quite loud.

  aiyo...1024 that one ar. lost 2nd gear liao lar. 1st gear then jump into 3rd

  shows that voith gearbox aren't as good as ZF,voith got this very uncomfortable feeling,you can feel that feeling on hispano habits...ZF for habits is much smoother...so anyone got a breakdown ticket of it?

  Spotted SBS8031J arriving at Bedok Int at 1600 hrs yesterday.. but who knows it brokedown later on.. :O

  Saw it arnd 3pm+ at tamp twds bedok. Surprisingly many bus fans was on sv17 route. lolx..
