I wonder if you guys noticed, the beep sound of some of the ezlink readers in SBST buses seem to have changed to be much shorter now compared to last time. But only some buses appear to be so. I wonder what is going on....
You are not the only one noticing it actually, I have also felt that a lot of buses from SMRT had the beeping sound shortened
Maybe previous one eat too much into the batteries?
Also the beep sound is now softer.
I noticed that it's slower. Concession cards with two beeps are slower sometimes in some buses. One of the VO3X on svc 88 has that problem. I can't rmb which one, maybe fixed alr..?

Oh.. psps, my area here no SMRT buses ![]()
Heard the "slowered 2 beats" on board those buses in 198 that I took to school too.
All the buses on svc 307 (even the OCs) got diff beeps olso, like *beep* 1 sec later then *beep*..
I only know 1 bus that still retains the old beeps, SBS9139B. But they may change the beeps soon.

Am......usually it would not sound out amount.
There is another system to sound out the fare of the trip, and the machine will sound out ( not enough money [in chinese]) when the value is not enough to pay the fare.
I remember gt one 293 MKIII the beep no sound de.Made my aunt so confused.
