Today I took SBS 8325L then only got abt 8 pple, the BC still lower the bus.
Last time, when a certain driver was still driving 36, he played around with the DM3500 kneeling function. Not many drivers know about the kneeling function on the DM3500. The best one I have seen, however, is the SBSL Scania L113CRL, very gradual move.

i think i am more experienced with B9TL raiser than the KUB ones, as their raising sounds is quite obvious. less ppl alight/board WAB buses then no nid do so, bringing faster journey i think.
last sunday i took 8440L frm JW to Holland V, BC didnt even use raiser to lower the bus. i managed to kope a seat even though the bus has not many ppl.

May i know who is it?BTW half of BNDEP DM3500s kneeling function are still operatable.

The hard jerk is due to clutch lock-up as well as its two-stage retarder (braking jerk).
Nonsense. !!!
when press accelerater padel it is start to jerk, if dont have experience to drive wouldnt not understand one !!!![]()

DM3500 (is a body btw, think u referring to the MKIV DM3500) and L113 have kneeling functions? thought is the newer lowfloor/WAB have kneeling functions de.

the acceleration isnt that great..
juz cos its light and theyre new, and sbst hasnt tightended the fuell pump.

it happens in all buses. just whether the jerk is perceived as hard or not. mark IV also jerk when the BC brakes hard what. but since its heavier than the KUB it certainly doesent make the jerk feel so rough. the KUB is terribly light, making the jerk feel much harder.
instant letting go of the brake pedal with the p.brake off, irregardless whether the accelerator is immediately depressed or not will induce a jerk.

but if BC accelerates harder, u get that shiok feeling n somemore, u might hear e trademark gearbox changed, like some Mk4 DMs!

not very shiok :P
and it vibrates violently after 1600rpm.. feels like those voith mark 4 dm's with spoilt gearbox that vibrate at high revs.

if u dont like that vibration feeling, sit further away from e engine, like in e middle.

sbst not buying the demo?

not the feeling, its rather the low pitched bass note at which the whole body produces when the engine vibrates, making everything rattle even harder

no one knows if they will buy... not even the drivers!

FYI, the strong vibration can be felt right in front, at the granny seat. I experienced this before when the BC jammed the trottle.
There are a few types of jerking on the KUB, one that jerks after the brakes (bus stop brake) have been released, as the bus prepares to move to acceleration stage.
Another jerk that cannot be determined whether is the BC's doing or the mechanical side is the jerk after 1st gear lock up, on to the second gear, there would be a strong pushing/pulling force that constitutes as a jerk.
First when s174 got these new buses (batch 1), the jerk often makes old folks (like the one in Stomp) to fall/lose balance. I lost balance in the jerk after lock up most of the time, before getting used to the pattern.

Eh, when we say DM3500 in this forum, what other bus can we talk about? Must we get so specific?
The DM3500s and L113CRLs (even some L113CRBs have them, like PA999Z) have them, most likely as an option. The SBSL's L113CRLs were fitted with them as they serve the Airbus routes, the kneeling function makes it easier for passengers, especially passengers with lugagge to board, the L113CRL should be the first low floor chassis to incorporate such functions.

Oh icic. My bad. Thanks for the info on the L113CRLs and DM3500s kneeling function. :)
i used to think that K230s are jerky.
But after sometime, i realise that it actually depends on the BC. Some BCs who are very used to K230s will actually make ur ride a very pleasent journey.

Theres 1 153 BC who likes to play with that function.
Frankly speaking.. whether the buses are jerky or not... those buses are here to stay.
At most, SBST will stop ordering any more such WAB buses from Scania.
But I must say that Scania is a reputable brand for heavy vehicles and such problem shouldn't surface to such an extent.
