Not really, as explained by 'Acx1688'.
Here's a great deal of info you can learn about HK Bus Routes and their numbering system. Don't worry if the numbers and alphabets look alien to you - it takes time to learn the route numbering system.

Originally posted by Acx1688:Not exactly, X is for partial express route... smethin like our Ffw but at normal prices... normali for routes to far out places like Yuen Loong... 3 digit buses beginning with 1XX is for the normal harbour crossing, 6XX for eastern harbour crossing, 9XX for western harbour crossing...
P is for PEAK period operations, S is for special despatch[normali 1-5 buses]
Besides 1xx routes, there are also 3xx routes. This route numbering also utilises the cross-harbour tunnels, but only plies during peak hours, with the exception of 307, which is a full day service.
To further add on to TIB1234T's queries about suffixes,
M is mainly for routes plying to MTR stations (HK's MTR = SG's MRT). Do note that there's also a 'K', which is for KCR plying routes (still used even after merger).
R stands for residential routes but can mean something else as well. Have limited operating hours.
Further add on to TWS4793...
3XX routes use different harbour crossings, some use the eastern or the main harbour crossing...
Special services w/o any alphabets eg 314, 260 run on weekends, public holidays... juz like our 401,405
there are even buses that extend their operating hours if there is a concert at the HK Coliseum or other venues... one word sums it all >>> FLEXIBILITY although our local operators are inching twds tt direction

Click on either of the two URLs above.
Otherwise we run the risk of going off-topic.

"Rome is not built in one day."
Similarly, you can't expect to quickly build up your knowledge in just one day. So, just read, and slowly, you'll get the hang of it.

Tiuuuuu.....Pengsan, you don't seem to get what he meant.
Oddly Singapore model shops mostly sell RHD bus models (doors on the right of the vehicle, those from the European countries. No asia bus models , e.g. SBST or SMRT diecast.

The one u meant is LHD, which means left hand drive. Yeah, not really. The london bus sold in Toys R Us is RHD.
Note: I have spotted a bus model in Tampines Mall's branch, a MB Cotaro/ I rmb i spotted it at the airplanes area.

I'm not so sure about the model. But base on the previous pages that I shown the bus, maybe its the model u mention.
Country wise, I also not sure.
Front axle can't turn, unlike my Mercs Citaros.

Yah. It does looks like DAF. I tried alot of modification but failed, so I stick with original model.

Base on the first pic, you will be able to see the new bus at the back. That is when the new bus is still under painting process.
