Suspect another mass transfer of DM3500s to BBDEP again. Spotted at least 5 ad-less DM3500s without any destos travelling along PIE from Bedok North heading towards Tuas direction around 745pm.
if radio reception isnt realy affected when cars go into jb, then i think my belief is that the audio track of tvm, since its on 89.3fm, shdnt be much of a problem, but the video signal mite get jumpy
Don't think they'll leave the TV mobiles on buses going to JB due to security concerns (may get stolen/damaged) and receptions
Originally posted by TIB1018B:Notice most of the DM3500s came from BNDEP. BBDEP should be continuing to take in more of such buses I suppose, perhaps also from AMDEP too.
There are only 15 Dm3500s in amdep, with most of them having an advert. If amdep were to xfer DM3500s they will take from bndep first.
I noticed that those DM3500s ranging from SBS2789X onwards (the last 50 that were registered much later than the first 100 fleets) do not have any TV Mobile installed in them. Some of the DM3500s that were transferred falls within the range.

even if those buses have tvm, SBST can just always switch them off

Hi Tamago...
Sorry, maybe I wasn't clear in my explanation.
All vehicles (means buses, cars, motorcycles, lorries) will still use the old JB checkpoint till the new CIQ complex is operational on 5/1/09 (targetted date).
Hi All,
Sorry I know I'm kinda random here but I would like to find out if there is any buses I can take from either City Square or 2nd link to Nusa Bestari, Skudai Johor? I need to go there from Singapore and I have absolutely no idea...
please help.. thanks!

hope there will be more bridges linking two lands, benifits ppl.
Update from SBS877M,
The new CIQ will be fully operational from Tuesday 16 Dec. Hence all buses and vehicles will clear immigration at the new complex. The return journey to Singapore will have to use the new route as well.
The new complex is called Kompleks Sultan Iskandar (KSI). Website: www.ksi.gov.my.
Note that these changes affects all the bus services. Do check the SBST website for info too.
More details to be posted by SBS877M tonite.

wow! i can take a look there within e next few days when i visit JB
I did a so-called 'trial run' through the route with my dad last week in his car. The new CIQ in Johor is pretty mordern but the bus acess lane to the CIQ is shared with cars. There are three lanes leading to the new checkpoint from Woodlands direction. 1 for motorcycles, 1 for cars and 1 for bus and cars combined.
I would say that the new route would take up 5 - 8 minutes more if traffic flow is good. So, a few fleet additions should be introduced. For Today, Sv 950, Sv 170 and Sv 160 were in a big mess going through JB Sentral Bus Stop heading towards their respective endpoints in JB thanks to the car jam going into Singapore.
The JB Sentral Bus Stop is located near the current Johor Bahru KTM Station. JB Sentral is not yet completed as they are just starting to lay the tracks that would take the trains up to the JB Sentral platforms as it is above-ground.

I heavily doubt so for svc 950 ... ...
Certainly not a good time to go Johor Bahru with all that confusion over the new immigration complex. Unless you are travelling to work/school. Best to avoid. Shall see it next year. Haha... Havent been to Malaysia like 3 years.
hi guys, i overheard from my father's friend saying that when he rode svc 160 twd JB sentral, after old johor CIQ the bus went into a so called 'bus tunnel lane' in JB sentral. the so called 'tunnel lane' he said was almost like CGA PTB underground, is this true. anybody took the X-border svc and how was it like?
