When you're coming back from the city, now the situation is:
- Want a seat? Board from Outram Park MRT, or before that. If you can even get one, you're lucky.
- Want to even board the bus? Board from Little India MRT, or before that. There's a good chance that the driver will just skip your stop if you're boarding after that stop.
And before someone gets onto the fact that passengers refuse to move to the back, let's just say the driver already did a very good job getting everyone to the back and people are moving.
Considering that 99.5% of the passengers on 851 aren't bus fans, this isn't so lucky. And, this is without WAB passengers on board the bus yet...makes me wonder what'll happen if a WAB passenger tries to board the bus at Little India.
Dear passengers, please disembark from the bus! I need to push this passenger to the WAB area...okay okay wait i go off service first and give u all complimentary tickets~

However, i agree that 853 and 854 need OC500LE

Really? If got PIW the passengers can elect to alight then get complimentary ride ar.
Weiteck 96, i believe it's time for you to stop posting already.
Let me see, SMRT is buying 66+ or 132 OC500LEs. But only about 40+ Nissan UDs to be deregistered. Hopefully the extra fleets would be required to help either to introduce another new trunk service into Sembawang or to add extra fleets on certain bus services so as to improve frequencies.
If WLDEP still refuse to take in the OC500LEs by then, the only way is to let AMDEP and KJDEP take more OC500LEs instead and continue to donate their MB0405s to WLDEP.

The OC500LEs were slated as both replacement for the UDs and also for fleet expansion somewhere. SMRT should concentrate on improving frequencies first before adding new services ba.
anyone notice the back of SMB 4 and SMB 22 on Sv 851? i saw both buses over the weekend, and notice that there are identical dusts marks at the back of the buses. cant really describe it in words though.

All the OC500LEs of I seen have these "dust" marks...not just 22 and 4. Dunno what is it too...looks charred.

I believe those grey "boxes" at the back of the engine cover... they're meant for engine part protection. This one needs either TIB1224Y or Scania N113 luver to explain in detail. I can't. ![]()

Ya i also saw it before. Thought it was part of the Gemilang bodywork.

i did not see it on KJDEP OC leh...
Those grey boxes formed behind the engine cover is probably dust. Dust is usually attracted there due to the heat on the engine cover. A surface with high heat tends to attract dust or sometimes, carbon molecules. Over time this forms a layer of "dust".
The shapes of boxes you see is the shape of the frame of the rear cover. The lines werent covered in dust is because this areas have lower temperature (which was insulated by the frame), than its surroundings (those without the framework behind it).

Means most likely all the other OCs will follow suit and grow this pattern? Cool. Sort of like the bus bodywork is self-mutating.
kidding :P

Actually,i was also wondering what is this square shape grey lines in the exterior rear of the OCs.most or all of the OCs i saw have this grey lines.i thought maybe is this another of the Hispano Habits case.because i thought maybe the grey lines came due to the heat of the sun.luckily, this matter was brought up.
Hahah, that is why, you don't see those on the newer OC's.
