:
- The ride was quiet. Not so many people.
- When the bus was stopping at the traffic light before Northvale condo, there was another bus (private bus) stopping side by side. When the light turn green, the bus sped off so fast (like racing with the other bus).
- The bad thing...I noticed the letter of some stickers (MIND THE STEPS, .etc) have been removed. Probably people step on it. The sticker at the front part (DO NOT SIT), the letter 'T' has been removed to 'DO NO SIT'.
Afternoon (SMB40U on 307...again)
- Waited the bus for so long... The sun was too hot! When bus arrived, notice another bus (probably, SMB42P) stopped behind the bus at the same bus stop.
- After the bus left the bus stop, the bus was so noisy and crowded!!! The wheelchair button was pressed 5-6 times!!! Always hear the 'ti ti ti ti ti ti ti ti ti' sound. That's not all...
- After that no more 'ti ti ti' sound until a few minutes later, the wheelchair button was pressed again. This time the 'ti ti ti' sound couldn't stop until the driver tell the passengers to stop pressing the wheelchair button.
- Almost every stop I hear 'Please move to the rear for the benefit of boarding passengers'.
- Until Lot 1 bus stop, no more passengers, peace and quiet...
- Probably the worst OC experience in my life.
WHAT A DAY!
The OCs are so quiet..i always struggle to hear the gearbox shift...>.<

The engines are quiet, yes, but sadly the noisy announcements spoil whatever peace the relative silence of the engines provide.
If you want to hear the engine, I suggest going to as rearward as possible. Alternatively, on the driver's dashboard, there's a number indictaing the position of the gear - you can peek at that if you want, lol.

I always take a peek at the driver's dashboard whenever the bus is crowded till door, then i move infront to see it..

The stickers were a bad idea fron the start. They will definitely fall off.
Please move to the rear is controlled by the driver, not automated by system. He has a button to press at the side panel to play that recording. It's for him to use when people simply refuse to move in...and he doens't have to get out and shout.
Wheelchair button is user problem, not bus problem ![]()

I wanna disagree - it's the way the bell is designed on the bus...so is the designer's problem.

user anyhow press, is user fault, or else hide somewhere till PIW cannot find it???
I guess everybody loves this model, partly because of the oversized SL badge in front ![]()

Then how should it be designed wor? :p
There will be people pressing it thinking the bus driver will stop...the other day I saw someone press the wheelchair bus stopping button before a bus stop and expecting the bus to stop.
Unluckily for him, the driver drove off, not stopping there. I wanted to laugh out loud. Technically speaking the driver wasn't wrong, because you're not supposed to use that button and there wasn't a WAB passenger on board.

must design like the deal or no deal one..... open cover kind.

Good idea. Can prevent ppl from leaning onto the button accidentally and getting that wheelchair bus stopping chime working overtime.
I realised that the wheelchair bus stopping button may be mistakened for a kiddie button cos its the only one where they can reach. I saw a small kid press that button on 157 before. Luckily that bus stopped at the next bus stop.

there was once my friend accidentally leaned on the PIW bell button on 8109U, and the beeping sound wouldn't go off
the BC thought it was the air pressure that was low, so he revved the engine.
then when it still wouldn't go off, he smacked the dashboard.
and it still wouldn't go off ![]()

BC must have been:
1. New to driving KUB
2. OMGWTF is wrong with this bus?
he thinks its like the low-air pressure beep in the volvos ![]()

Today rode SMB57Y to frm Yew Tee to Stagmont Ring to do some trainspotting business there.
Used my friend's camcorder and recorded the journey frm Yew Tee to Stagmont Ring. Got down and rush out to the front. Started to record again. The driver stopped and wave at us. So friendly drivers :D
Sorry OT abit...
It also happened on 187 Hispano Habit.. My friend record the video, then the bus stopped to take passengers, the driver was wearing sunglasses and kept posing for the camera. When my friend stopped recording, he seemed to be disappointed, so I took out my camera and took a pic of it. After that, he salute to us, and we salute him back.
