Hope to see the finished product soon!
Nice bodywork! Hope to see the RC model a success.
Whats the budget you set aside for this project?
1:10 is alittle ambitious
and from the photo it looks more like a 1:30 scale.

look at the size of the keyboard beside it..
1:1 length is 11.7metre
this is 1.17metre..so its not looking 1:30 to me

then work on the interior afterwards
hey there. try to help u bump it. so erm how izzit now?
December 24th X'mas eve.
yo how's the bus?
some progress after a week+ of holiday in malaysia..just added signal lights and head lights, driver dashboard, front interior panels, windows "glass"
also made the old transit-link machine and the yellow coloured coins collector thing(not sure what its called)..
front doors are installed but not working yet..
yet to be done, aircon duct, EDS, rear lights, railings and lastly painting and stickers..
still thinking how to make the seats..planning to use ceramic or plastercine or some call clay or something..hmm..
thats about it for now..
couldnt get pics into the com..
left my card reader in m'sia..rofl..

Hi kelvin,
very impressive model that u've created fro yourself...i read above that its a 3-speed manual transmission so just curious on what motor this 'bus' will be powered by and will it be able to move autonomously or with the aid of a remote?
just curious about how it'll work.
anyway just my another 2c, it would be even nicer if u've painted it with the TIBS livery ![]()
will await to see ur finished product!
The model is looking good there!
As for the seats, I'm not experienced in this sort of things, but you can either use the clay, or if you are up to the challenge enough, you can maybe buy some pieces of velvet (to intimate the material used for the seat covers), dye them carefully, then stuff a bit of cotton or some stuffing and glue it to the seats. Not sure if it will work though; I will let your experience call.
Just for kicks, maybe you can do a model of a Dennis Trident afterwards if you feel like doing another model after you finish this one.

nice model u have there. keep it up. oh remember the SMRT logo ![]()

it's remote controlled..powered by a 6v to 8v battery..adapted these from my other hobby 1:10 radio-controlled cars..using a 540size motor..those livery are actually printed stickers..so i can change them as i like..maybe for Triton livery too
as for the 3-speed gearbox it'll be a later part issue..haha..
now would be concentrating on finishing the exterior and interior..finally improving on various areas..thanks for you comment..cheers! ![]()

ah ha..i'm thinking of using vacuum forming for seats and maybe other things..will have to first make a clay/wooden mould for that to happen..
i might be building another bus soon..still thinking of what to build..hehe..Dennis Trident would be good tho.. ![]()
