Debris falling at Bedok Interchange

  Hello All

  This is my first post here

  Just now one small part of bedok interchange

  high ceiling collapse leh

  Damm it , I wonder is it really safe there

  Happened sometime between 6.30 pm and 7 pm. Metal scraps fell to the ground and I believe the metal scraps are still dangling dangerously. The area has been cordoned off.

  Location of metal scrap that fell is between Berths B6 (17, 38) and Berth B7 (Alighting). It's directly behind the UOB machine teller.

  was it the plastering or the concrete fell in chuncks..

  might be due to the earlier heavy downpour & hope there were no casualties..

  Metal scraps, not concrete or plastering since the design of the roof is made of steel. There were no casualties on the ground.

  damm old , why they dun just go and upgrade it

  since its metal then most probably it might be rusted which caused the prob..

  I believe investigations are still ongoing. Please do not speculate what had happened until they have done their investigations, if any.

  They just upgraded the structure a few years back.

  Jurong East is in fact young, built together with the MRT station, Bedok is the oldest bus interchange, built before the MRT line was open.

  u shud see how the ceiling leaks and the whole interchange's floor gets wet and slippery when it drizzles..

  hope the authorities do something abt it man.. especially when bedok has so many old folks living here..

  I seriously hope it will not be revamped...all my good memories would be gone....however...in 2015..a new int would be built

  erm...not celing leaks leh..dun anyhow says...is the drainning of roof water to the side of the interchange...see the state of Hougang Int....see which int need maintance faster

  err actually it was really leaking.. the ceiling actually start failing liao.. ard 2mths ago, at the bus service 225 berth..

  Actually remarkable, all these while Bedok Int is around, Toa Payoh changed 4 interchanges/terminals.
