Sorry I am not very clear about the differences between the old and new card. What exactly is causing commuters to complain so much?
The queue at BNL today to change the card was longer than the queue for 179... lol

The only diff i am complaining now is the old card we could use the fare stored inside till minus our deposit fare but the new card we need to "Top" up once the card value is less @$3.00....See the diff?
Old Card- Can use even if value remaining is less $1.00
New Card- Can not use if value less $3.00, gotta to top up to more than $3.00 to ride on MRT or Bus....

Student and Tertiary concession cards
From 16 February 2009
New student/tertiary concession cards which are CEPAS-compliant will be distributed directly to students by their respective schools from February.
Details on the collection of the new card and exchange of the current concession card will be provided by the respective schools.
gonna go exchange mine tomorrow..
however, I'm oreadi mentally prepared for the super "short" queues..
JE int queue is also very long even though it is evening..
I need some tampines updates..
i just went to exchange the new ez link cards today. the queue at the post office is much shorter than at the bus interchange
I got mine @ Tampines Bus Interchange...was in Q for 40mins...The process is "long" only at counter due the trnsfer of data from old card to new card. It takes about 1-3mins per card..

~ remember until so clear for what~
juz an update: still have yet to try mine on buses..
so far i've tested it for my train rides & I've not experienced any technical glitches or watsoever (hopefully it stays this way)..
I've got the CEPAS trial card and it's been giving problems when topping up. Can't use GTM, can't use the station control. I hope the problem's been solved now but the question is, can I extend my secondary school ez-link card until September while still charging me JC/Poly fare?
trial card most of the time have techincal glitches one..
its better you use the current CEPAS..
