  actually

  no point changing the card earlier coz not all ez-link reader can read the new card like retail outlets etc. For example spore poly's printing charges use ez-link reader that does not accept the new card. Might as well wait till around september 2009 or earlier to change the new card

  so, no need to rush to get the new cards =D

  as stated in the public media release,

   

  you can go
  
  Transitlink offices at MRT stations / Bus Int with super long queues . where we find the Singaporean who wishes to have a queue experince for new card are all here to experince getting new card with total fuss and with humidity and heat included.

  However, if you do not wish to exchnage your card and rather buy a new red card (because ur poly ez link reader for photostating machine is dumb or other reasons) u had to endure the queue. Best advice is if u spot a transitlink office with no queue or few ppl, go buy new red card with no fuss. So why red? i dunno. its just not blue..lol..anyhow CNY mah, red is lucky colour.

   

   

  Post offices with moderate queues with people also posting letters or soemthing...

  Bus int set up tables stalls which have zero queues. where u can totally avoid any crowd. these set up tables are located far far away from transitlink office so walk ard a bit to find. also ONLY SELECTED INT have these secret tables stalls.

  o get your card EXCHANGED.

  EXCHANGED means they take ur card, smack the old card on a ez link reader device which sucks the money out and then smack a NEW CEPAS card on the reader and the money is shoot into your brand new card. Pls be reminded to keep the recipt inc ase ur new card is crap and u have to change it...again...

   

  also have the recipt handy in case ur card expires in 2014 and u have to go thru the long queues. again,.
