CCTVs on buses

  I would like to ask anyone who is familiar with the CCTVs on the buses, as I just came back from Austria for 3 years, I realised that there are almost 3-4 CCTVs on board the bus. Can the camera placed near the top at the back of the bus be repositioned by the bus captain/driver himself with a remote? I believe from the overall position of the camera at the back will only capture seats from the 2nd last row from the back and forwards, would there be any chance that it can capture the last row of seats?

  From what I heard, it's able to capture the interior of the whole bus (face level...what you're doing below, they might not be able to see) + outside (bus stop & road)

  Yes I believe this is true for the cameras at the front, however at the back, your back is facing the camera. But thanks bro! :D

  the cameras in front lor. actually they can't cover every blind spots. what you do under the seat it can't capture.

  Oh thanks! It'd be good to clarify and have a confirmation about this because I have a valuable left behind on one of the buses about a week ago. I was sitting on the last back seat of the last row on the right and apparently, the angle was not covered.

  No one can confirm whether you can recover your lost item but it would be good if you have the information on the bus like the registration plate number, service number, your boarding point and alighting point and time.

  I called up transitlink and they said that they have no idea whether the angle should not cover the last row unless its from the front camera.

  Why not you check with the bus company? They will tell you if they have any such recordings and assist you in any way. I can't believe that for a valuable, you have only resorted to asking on forums instead of exhausting all efforts. Maybe by now, the records might have been deleted or overwritten cos the staff could not even action this on time.
