Someone is going to preserve the last leyland chassis. Hope it's preserved by the British too.
SBS9168S current OMV is $299,629.0 (from onemotoring webbie)

Probably, but everyone is tired of the KUBs, we need more variety of buses.

Thank you.
I was hoping it would be less than $125K, but hopefully SBSTransit will be willing to sell it for a lot less than the official OMV.

Does SBS Transit know the historical significance of SBS9168S? Later they end up scrapping it also when all the LO3x retires.
We will let them know late next year prior to their 17th year in 2010.
2888T's suspension rocks...literally. Every few seconds the suspension will cause the bus to tilt from left to right with a loud 'hiss'. It's very noticeable especially when the bus is stationary since you can really feel the bus tilting left and right.
Is this a recent problem or is this old news?

that OMV is based on when it is being registered right? now i dun think it is worth that much on their accounts, after taking in depreciation cost..

yes.. i think it's been like this for a long while.
looking at e recent renaming of a portion of Nanyang Dr to Lien Ying Chow Dr reminds me of Tampines Rd
Is the part of Old Tampines Rd now known as Tampines Way BUT still identified as Tampines Rd in e bus guide?

As far as I recall, there has been two incarnations of Tampines Way.
The first incarnation is the current Hougang Avenue 3.
The second incarnation, though for a very very short time, is the stretch of KPE between TPE and Tampines Road.
And the current Tampines Link is formerly Tampines Road.
Just curious. For the exits out of woodlands int, how come the left lane is used for turning right and the right lane is used for going straight? Looks illogical even though there are traffic lights to ensure the buses don't langar.

Yeah, it does look illogical. I don't really know the reason of this but I suspect there is something got to do with the turning circle of the bus ... ...

Most probably has to do with the fact that the exits are not aligned with the main road. To reduce the need to merge with traffic, the rightmost lane is utilised for buses going straight.

To me, i think it's more to safety. Buses on the right lane can only go straight so that i would be easy for them to merge with the main road. Buses on the left lane could turn right. That's why the 'B' traffic light is installed so that the bus on the left lane could safely turn right. This involves all traffic to stop at the traffic junction to give way to the bus turning right out of the interchange.
The 'B' traffic light would not be active all the time if there is no bus waiting to turn right or the bus reaches the traffic light too late and has to wait for 1 minute for the 'B' light.

Um...that's just an expansion on my point.
what will be the likely services affected when 3rd phase of CCL opens?
