Wasn't the stretch of KPE between TPE and Tampines Road called Tampines Service Road when it was first opened to the public?
To be exact, the current Tampines Link stretches from TPE, and past Tampines Ave 10, to the junction with either TP Industrial Ave 4 or 5. After which, it is still Tampines Road. The first few pairs of bus stops on Tampines Link, especially near the temples, reflect this change.

You have to be more exact. Old Tampines Rd refers to the stretch between Loyang Ave and Upp Changi Rd Nth where svc 5 and 29 ply. It was never used to refer to the stretch of road where 72 now plies.
There was never a Tampines Way. Although, a few years back, I do vaguely recall a signboard somewhere on the ECP-bound PIE that did have 'Tampines Way'. It was somewhere near the TPE/PIE flyover, IIRC.

Tampines Way is located nowhere near the current Tampines, it is now part of Hougang Av 3.

Old Tampines Rd included the stretch till Paya Lebar Air Base then. No?
sgwiki.com mentioned that smrt scania elbos are scheduled to deregistered on 31st dec 2009.. true or not????
SBS8031J has not seen it for One month (for mi) is it repairing?
Any idea whether SBS8434E will be going to HGDEP soon in exchange for one of the SP Batch 1 Scania K230UBs? Now that SBS8434E's ad has expired.
Sorry just asking again, based on the previous trend that ARBP/BBDEP transfers away all the Batch 2 Scanias to HGDEP.

As far as I can remember, no. It was always Tampines Rd. However, before the time of KPE and Tampines Service Rd, where 72 would do a right turn into the narrow stretch, the signboard at the right turn read (Old) Tampines Rd.
If anyone has a better memory then I welcome corrections, though.

Be patient la.. If you are impatient ask the depot starter instead.
Just now i took TIB1026C on 106 towards BB, when it reached the bus stop after the flyover, it stopped for quite a long time. (7.40pm~ approx) BC went out of bus then came back tell all the passengers to alight, some tapped card, some never (i tapped) then i followed the crowd go behind and there was a 77 (TIB964B) with its doors open. The pax mostly boarded without tapping, then the journey was resumed. TIB1026C's EDS showed "OFF SERVICE" when TIB964B left the bus bay.
Not sure if this is a breakdown because everything in the bus seems ok. What might have happened back there?

Yah. That's why I always referred the entire stretch from Paya Lebar Air Base to the end at Loyang as Old Tampines Rd......
Hope someone clarifies on this!

I observe the whole trip ok until when reach the bus stop part, it stop there for 2-3 mins, moving in front abit to let a MKIV DM3500 on 506 behind it to exit the bus bay, then the bc went out of bus then another 2 mins or so come back onboard tell us to alight...during that time period seems like he flagged down his colleague's TIB964B on 77 and probably told him to let his pax transfer bus, since the rest of the route is the same. so odd.

If so then there should be something wrong with the bus.. Not enough petrol maybe?

8031J has been perm on Sv17 throughout the whole Holiday1 but replaced by another bus. I hope you don't want to go into precipitation. Just look at what happened to 8030L.

ok so what if we know the duty no? Duty type is essential so that ppl can camp for it anytime of the day. But would sane people waste 1h45min camping for a bus? Give duty codes are not useful enough. If its accompanied by timing then I would consider useful. and timing is not just 1 timing somewhere in the early morning and another somewhere in the afternoon. People want full schedule timing so that they know exactly which part of the day they can spare to camp for it.
Timing is not enough alone. What if the bus is cameoing on another block/timing? Then whatever i said in the previous paragraph is deemed useless. So dont predict the future, predict NOW.
hmm..qn..
when Malaysia Lance expire ar?

Bro,
U trying to tell the whole world that u got access to some special info that the rest of us doesnt have issit ?
Do u really wanna share info or just trying to "Hao Lian" ?
actually know duty number isn't a bad thing...if you know how to count the buses, you know when it'll come ~
is 9889U back on 166? if yes, can anyone provide timings? thanks in advance!=)

but u still need a certain timing before u are able to determine when the buses are going to arrive. Duty code doesnt help at all. Theres many different start point for a bus for some of the services. With that, it is abit difficult for u as the buses dont arrive according to the order of the duty code.
