Svc292 pack is onli at PM peak hrs and at night. Seem like the residents also dun mind standing on MK3 n n113 but for the infact when Svc292 pack on PM Peak i didnt even see elderly boarding on svc292.
I just wonder that what is so special about svc 292 that there are always suggestions that it should get kub.

not yet. but should be 1-2units MAX.
the airhorn of the kubs are REALLY REALLY LOUD till as if i am woken by it from the gaze. what if the volume of the airhorn can adjusted in kubs?
by then it can be a "attention seeker".

it become a habit that most BC like to use the horn.

I realise that only the batch 1 have a loud horn. It seems like the new batches have their horn toned down a little, maybe because of complaints. But i just hate it when the svc 27 last bus like to horn at the junction of my house on the way back to depot.

It can scare stupid drivers too. Once i took 8143U on 156 IIRC. At clementi ave 2 bus was going pass a GREEN light and some stupid licenceless? driver just made an illegal u turn in front of the bus. the KUB jam braked and loud-horned that jackass for a few seconds ![]()

And Townlink svcs with terminating trips; how about displaying for eg svc 291T ?
and change all the front destos with small number fonts to bigger size ones. for eg svc 5,13,36,54,55,162/M got small font sizes which is difficult to see. should follow the modified ones for eg on svc 53, 100,156.
If townlink do that hor, very mafan one. Townlink services key is efficiency and seamlessness. Every time (eg 291) starts with West Loop keeps the current 291 electronic display. Then when it comes back to Int to start East Loop BC must change again to new 291T. This one must recalibrate, take out parts where there is the Ave 3/5 St 81/83/84. Quite mafan one. Then confirm got people mix up, ask here ask there. BC switch this thing takes time(in TP Int this will create jams, I'm sure you know why rite?) and increases chances of EDS fouling up(corruption of EDS). I think for the time being since there is no cost-effective and time saving option SBST should keep the red T plates.

Actually the reason why they don't use EDS to indicate Terminating Trip is because to avoid confusion. Commuters are used to the old way of T plate. The MK 3s aren't able to display Terminating through EDS and hence cause confusion. Let's take a look at 410 which started using K230, commuters are still aren't able to identify G and W while boarding.
Changing EDS is not a problem, I don't see Woodlands and Yishun Intra-Towns having problems. It depends on the culture of different services.

Its a matter if the depots wants to reprogramme the EDS only. 291, 293, 358, 359 could have jolly well used dual system (pastic / metal T and the EDS display like 410). :) If SBS Transit intention is to drop the plastic desto signage system, sooner or later those T plates would have to go. :)

I am sure there are more reasons why they continue to use the desto system. FYI, 410 have stopped placing destoes on the front of the bus. That's why there are confusion caused.

Yea. Read it in the other thread discussing abt destos. Tell you what, let's just wait and see how much time SBST takes to iron out the problem and what is their solution. Haha...
BTW: Can tell me the other reasons? Can't Think of anymore... haha... :X I was wondering if they could have produced those in-bus ads to explain the rationale for the T plate in the past, they could do it again to explain the rational for 291T, 293T, 358T, 359T in the EDS now? Though the BCs have to key in a different code for the respective T services.
EG*:
291T -> 295
293T -> 297
358T -> 350/353
359T -> 351/355
*Not a fan of cool-air EDS. So didn't even bother to learn how to operate them. Pardon me if I get the code format wrong.
