You forgot the OCs from SMRT. Same bodywork and interior layout is almost the same.

layout is almost the same but indeed different.
colour is different. haha.
but comparing 132 to 900 is rather vast. :)
KUB used to excite me. but now....
seeing OC on 75 is now more orgasmic.

Yep agreed.
Can't wait to see the day when one bus fan in the future say "I wait at the bus stop for a service that has full K230UBs. The only difference in the buses i can see is aircon, almost same interior and probably different regos. Oh, and the amount of vibrations within the bus."
But of course, we all had understood the simplicity of getting one bodywork for maintanience instead of different bodyworks.
SMRT's OC Gemilang bodywork is still nicer looking with SMRT colours and the Capacity front that hasn't really grown on me yet. and besides, 66 units that's on the roads now within the whole of Singapore's total bus fleet still has the kicks (actually for now less than that because some buses are SP and TRG).
Also, can't SBST somehow figure out a way to lessen the vibration? I described the bus as modern-ish to one of my bus fan buddy on MSN because the vibrations gives an impression that the bus was on the roads for a long time, and is bringing discomfort to passengers.
I find that N113CRB's vibration got 'tempo' and nice sounding instead of KUB where it just 'rrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr' all the way even when acclerating for some of em.. at least the CRB's one will stop when acclerating.....

people only know complain why so long leh. 30min for the blardy bus. even with 400 buses no use also.

If they can do something about it, they would have done so a long time ago.
Besides, vibrations are common on Scanias, be it new or old.

my simple suggestion: use a thicker cotton cushion on e seat n back rest, with a slightly softer suspension.

Yes.we both are exactly the same man.i remember when the kubs first came out on svcs 174 and 100,i also was excited and couldn't wait to see them 'live' in action and take them.then i remember when i saw my first kub ever directly at Serangoon Rd,i was so happy for the whole day.now u dont even have to search for a kub.u just step out of your house or turn your head around while u are outside and the first thing u will see will be a kub.![]()

K230UBs have become as common as a toilet roll. pardon the pun.![]()
Anyway im thinking about the Euro V batch surprises...does it include smaller wheels similar to the OCs?

Well, before you moan about it, remember how many Mercedes MB O405s SBS Transit (then SBS) bought in in the early 1990s; I'm sure bus fans then also moaned about the bus being everywhere. SBS then did try to soften the impact by having two different bodyworks for the bus though, and this is something I expect them to do to the Scania K230UBs today.
Also, I don't think SBS Transit will be just buying K230UBs; I expect them to buy at least two or three more models of single-deck buses after the K230UB; I suspect that SBS Transit may be wanting to buy another demonstrator before making any further commitments, seeing that there's still one space left for the tiny registration range (8030 - 8033) that they had been using for their demonstrators.

The wheels of the K230UBs and the OC500LEs are of the same size and they require tyres of size 275/70 R22.5

Do you think the public would care about what buses they use? As long as their bus isn't some old artifect from the museum, comes on time and doesn't breakdown, they are happy.

Some does. Some publics will complain that the bus will have not enough seats and will have to stand on their journey.

which the OC500LE have the same problem.
