Technically, the last O405 won't go until 2017. (SMRT Volgren)

how about TIB1247G? last hisp. habit
SBS3736S has very weird engine sound , should be the one I heard last time.
The MB O405 is in the long list of MB buses brought in by SBS. Remember the OF1413?
I remember the time when I boarded the first OF1417 bodied by Soon Chow. It was running on service 157. Then a few years later, the OF1417 bodied by Hawke. Then SBS brought in 2 MB O305 bodied by Willowglen, which were followed by a series of O305 by Walter Alexander. Both were running on service 165 from Jurong to AMK.
Well, look at it on the bright side.
At least we know that MB OC500 is going to arrive soon. I wonder if there is a purpose to make the OC500 so tall.

even scania K230ubs are so tall to accomdate tall people. older buses, these people had to bend their heads down in order to enter the bus.

no wonder i see the height of the OC500LE is taller than the O405 Hispano/Volgren parked side by side @ BB Int.

16 days to de-registeration of SBS83L, SBS85G - SBS93H
its defininitely sad to see all these good buses go... Somehow they grew up with me... lets just hope the SBS will replenish its fleet with a large number of mercs again in time to come...

Yeah. The height of a Hispano bodied 'box' or 'Habit' bus is about 3.3 meters, while the Gemilang bodied is 3.6 meters. 3.3 is pretty standard I guess...
SBS94E under lay-up
*condolences

Well....Singapore is small and we have to maintain a sizeable number of vehicles on our roads. Furthermore, with the green movement constantly emphasized, I guess old buses will soon have to make way for more environmentally-friendly ones. ![]()

Yes, I look forward to that. Greater height clearance is good, isn't it?
But please don't let me tip-toe and stretch out to reach for the air-con duct.... ![]()

It is: SBS83L, SBS85G to SBS94E.
Btw, SBS83L, SBS86D & SBS94E r sent for lay-up. Good job!!!
Either SBS488C or SBS3724B might be best candidates 2 replace SBS89X on 334.

What's with the good job?
3724B is gonna dereg soo after this batch, so there's actually not muc reason why slbp wants to trouble themselves to perm it on 334 awhile.
Know what is going on and don't curse and swear when you not happy.

Yeah i am also wondering why did he put the good job for?Is he happy that SBS83L,SBS86D and SBS94E are laid up?There is no need for that remark when so many people are dreading and are sad abt the WA Mercs deregistering now.

SLBP has a few more spare mercs like 511T and 521P which go off later than 488C .so why is 488C the best?
