As u know sgwiki is nt always reliable and can be edited by anyone at anytime.So thats why u have to know and memorise as much info as u can and nt rely too much on sgwiki everytime.At the same time,i am nt saying that sgwiki is unreliable also.It has true reliable info,only that sometimes that some ppl who got nth to do wld just go and anyhow edit the info in there. -

at the going rate its likely the cac merc will be laid up till 387x by year's end. Assumption is that they have a new intake of K230s in Dec. -

if they choose to lay up all the merc until the July 31th batch by End Dec, that mean all the WA Merc (5) will gone, plus 4 DM OAC + 12 DM CAC (till 3858). so need around 21 buses to replace by end of this year.. There is still around 30 EEVs (8840-8872) from current batch not yet registered (which should be going to AMDEP).. Not sure when SBST will push out the new batch of EEVs..
now seem like SBST is trying to reduce number of spare buses in each depot by doing transferring here and there... BNDEP pass 6 buses to AMDEP, put one bus to TRG (thus allowing 1988 back to service). HGDEP send buses to BBDEP, which inturn send bus to SLBP to replace the outgoing merc... i believe that the number of spare buses in each depot can be reduced to around 40 which mean some more buses can still be transferred out from HGDEP/BBDEP to SLBP and from BNDEP to AMDEP to replace the mercs.

I think they temporary house more spares in each depot to allow for HQ to implement additional split shifts in time for QoS to be in effect in Aug 09. Its been 4 months since then and I believe things are probably stabilising and hence workshops can have the choice to transfer buses out to other depot. (which is good news for them anyway since they have lesser buses to mx) -

Wah SBS really going too far liao... Those CAC still got more than 5 month's lifespan ans SBS still want to lay up then.
