Lay-up and redeployment of SBST 0405's

Oh gosh. How time flies....234T is my bus of secondary school memories(2000-2002). Why? I took it to school almost every morning, went home from school almost every afternoon, took it on joyrides with my girlfriend to her house, took it almost every time to meet up with my friends to play soccer at Hong Kah. There was once there was this negotiation between my group of friends and some pai kias from my school at the void deck over some childish pride thing and girl bullying issues. It gone wrong somewhere when someone on lookout shouted "Police!!". All of us went scurrying out in all directions and i made a lung bursting run to the bus stop and just nice the bus comes and i boarded it without hesitation. Found a seat and after taking a few breaths, i realized, "Oh its you again 234T."

SBS 280 J is the only WA merc left in amdep/brbp. This guy is likely to be affected when the batch of Merc 0311-0325/3860-3871 go off. 3842-3856 batch still havent go off yet so that's good news?
THREE more to go!
OT: Leylands 9000-9009 go off on 26 Aug 2010. Time flies.

looks like the merc lay up speed of amdep/brbp now is like slbp one last time during Euro V batch 1 mass intake..
btw u forgot SBS278S which not lay up yet..

The de-registration schedule of the WAs not accurate lor..... They retired earlier......

Those are the official due dates for the lifespan. There is nothing wrong for SBST to lay them up and dereg them earlier.IDFCs and Ezlink card readers are removed from these old buses over to the new buses.

I will if i have the time. I've moved from Jurong to Pasir Ris so chances of seeing her again seems slim. How about the other 2 WAs of svc 334? 183* and 264G? They are taken out of service already?

AMDEP have no choice but to lay up the old merc fast cos of shortage of space.. SLBP have done their job last year by removing those 38** series buses and even 3** OAC buses... AMDEP only started to remove those 38** series..and 29* series OAC buses this year..
At the rate of SBST registering the new KUB (100+ registered within 2 months period) and 50+ send over to AMDEP /BRBP,. AMDEP have no choice but to say goodbye to the merc... SBST seem to be in a hurry to rush out the completion of these KUB, so that they can free up the capacity to build the new Wright B9.. So most likely in another 2-3 months, all the balance KUB will be registered and that mean that almost all the CAC merc might be gone...

nothing wrong to deregister before actual date.. but something wrong to deregister after actual date

remake the ad? the company or moovemedia will suffer the loss in revenue. Money needed to print a new ads and resticker. Luckily the ppl there are sensible enough.

yeah. very sensible of them. they still repainted the bus after removing the ad and less than one week later it was laid up. -

183G and 264G deregistered liao :(264G was the first WA Mercz perm 334 to be deregistered, along with the Passion Ad.
