Lay-up and redeployment of SBST 0405's

I wonder if the ad on SBS234T has expired as SBS8331T which holds the same ad as SBS234T last time have the ad removed long ago. Furthermore there is a new version of the Pastamania ad.

the ad on 234T reminds me of SBS242U, way before it was deregistered....(Ex BRBP 232 bus)...
Today i took SBS234T and guess what, the AC rocks to the maxx! The AC is strong as though it has many years to go...
So, when the bus goes, it will rest in peace with dignity... And 234T is my last WA ride before it goes byebye

u mean 329D? Btw, they were on revenue svc for that 2 weeks after repainted. Rmb there were shortage of SP buses before EEV batch 2 arrived. I guess they were worried of the shortage of bus and was asked to removed the expired ads. The cost of repainting should be lower than printing a new ads and stickering it on another bus. -

WA merc performed better than DM, sad to see them going off soon..

Nice pictures. And you caught a babe in there :D
I think the drivers who drove these buses will miss them too. Somehow, the KUBs doesn't seem as pleasant to drive as the 0405s.

in what way did they perform better? :) found them all the same, with that jerky gearshift between gears (w3e gearbox)

The last time I took a WA merz was SBS245L on 72 (Nvr took pic damn cause my cam/phone lost) :(

my last WA ride so far was 278S on 238
and its probably going to be my last WA merc ride.

I don't know for what reasons , my perspective to the WA O405s are better...... A/C always cold in whatever weather conditions(includes raining). Faster ride , and better engine performance. Gonna miss them :(

I hate the WAs to the core

WA mercedes, their exit door is far too infront.. those at the back will have a hard time moving out from a crowded bus.
Also, the first 2 rows of seat, the leg rest is curved, not 90degree straight like the DM counterparts
Before they were unrefurbished, the aircon ducts were adjustable (the DMs could not be adjusted then) -

ya la.. scanias are not bad la.. quiet and full-seating configuration
tt time my area only got the 3-4 scanias on 70 thats all... so i hardly got the chance to take them -

SBS3855G also.. its POSB ads were removed and weeks later it went to lay up -
WAs have slower pickup due to their heavier bodywork. DMs have better aircon but WA's insulation is better (DMs often have fuel smells). i prefer the configuration of the WA body over the DM even tho the DM performs better. overall i like the WA more because of its design. i was glad i managed to take 694 of 700 of the sbst O405s.

current lowest east district merc still in svc should be 326L. will confirm soon.

So how many mercz (excluding laid ones)left now at BR/AM district and SL? saw 552A at TPY last week, dunno which is the other mercz
