today is its OFFICAL last day of lifespan. that mean it still can run today legally... ![]()
Hmm...if that's a possibility, I will go there again later today as I was there on Wednesday evening rushed from work in town evening, camped there about an hour but could not see 3920...left for home down south without spotting it. Very sad...but if someone could give me an intelligence if it is still running, will be great so that I will not make another wasted trip...

We say goodbye to Mercedes O405, a wonderful bus alongside the MK III, i will never forget taking it on svc 66, 154, 157, reliable and i actually think it go on another 2 more years ! Goodbye O405, welcome Citaro, hope it has the same or better design than SMRT Citaro, but most important keep the comfort of Mercedes Benz buses please SBST.....
The SBST O405s are gone...It's quite sad really. It was actually the first SBS bus I ever rode(not sure of rego, think it was SBS458D).Lurveee riding them on an empty stretch of road, with nearly no passengers, for over 6km,without stopping...those were the days.(Mind you, I'm talking about 66)
Usually on the day of de-registration, the buses (that will be de-reg soon) will be returned to the depot awaiting to be de-registered. So that means, one day before the de-reg date is the last day for the bus to be on service. (eg. If 1 Apr is the de-reg, 31 Mar would be the last day)

There is still some O405 left.

It's 1st April. You posted this post on 2 April, so you should have said yesterday.

When I checked yesterday, they were still registered, because they were de-registered yesterday at 12am.....which is counted as today.
Arghhhh... I missed the last SBST Mercedes Benz O405 CAC. ![]()
Will be dearly missed for your service for the past 20 years and how they were when they were non air con buses. And superb air con and interior furnishings after being converted to air con buses. Simply one of the best buses from SBS in Singapore. ![]()

May I know where to check the registration and de-registration? I saw some posts indicating One Motoring but which section do I go to check? Thanks.

Oh. So, buses that have completed its lifespan were de-registered after day service?

Put the Intended Transfer Date as today, and don't do anything inside, just check for laid-up status, de-registration date.

Yup, but they are not allowed to be on service on the day of their lifespan expiry.
I noticed that there are many remaining Mercedes Benz O405s on 86 and 138 as of 07/04/2011.
At least 5 buses. ![]()
