What you guys hope to see in the local bus scene come 2009?

2009 is coming in less than a week. Do you have any wishes, hopes, dreams etc. that you wanna see in the Singapore buses scene?
For me
- SMRT to refurbish the other buses interior...especially the ELBOs ; and to stop removing the dress rims ! :X.
- To try my luck to board (betting on chances :p) on 9889U someday in 2009
- Next 400 Scanias from SBST to have at least a different front and back for their bodywork by Gemilang
- SMRT / SBST to bring in China buses.
- SMRT to bring in a new WAB demo bus for trial. (SBST have 3 brought in , 8030L,8031J, 8033D).

More double decks.Scania K230UB to change bodywork.

I would like to see all government personnel with levels ministers and above, as well as all the executives of SBST and SMRT, be disallowed to own cars (including immediate family members) and take public transport (bus, MRT, taxi).

more buses to come in. frequency becomes better. hope they can buy other type of buses after the k230.

For me,
- Man DDs, though i suspect SBS will buy Scania K-series DDs
- More competition in bodywork building for SBS n SMRT buses
[expecting malaysian coachbuilding co. to dominate]
- More B7Rs (or B12Bs) pls! n Better get e experience from e mechanics from RapidKL as well.

For me, I can list it up what I want to see in the future
- I want to see Alexander-Dennis bodywork back to Singapore, hopefully I can Enviro 200, 300 & 500 in Singapore
- SBS Transit should choose the better LED sign for their new Scania instead the crappy Coolair
- More Volvo B7RLE and MAN (18.240 HOCL-NL or NL series) buses can join the SBST or SMRT fleet, I don't really mind which bodywork~~
- SBS Transit and SMRT buses should consider Diesel-Electric Hybrid (HEV) buses in the future~~

I shall also list out what I wish to see in the future:
- SBST and SMRT to purchase Alexender-Dennis, Volgren and Hispano bodywork
- SBST to purchase more Merz, MAN buses, preferbly full low floor and maybe some Volvo B7RLE
- More Double Decks in general.
- Better maintenance of both SBST and SMRT Buses in general.
- Hanover/Transit Media EDS on future buses
- Foldable seats in PIW area of WAB SDs
- More Premium/Cityshopper services to encourage public transport
- SBST to improve their Niteowl Services (Better frequency and superbuses on festive seasons, longer operating hours)
- SMRT nightrider: Good job, well done and keep it up.
- More SBST O405s to get lifespan extension.
- Lesser complaints for SBST/SMRT on service standards.

- since the KUB order cant be canceled, at least a different design as compared to the current 500 euro 4 KUB's.
- B7RLE's and B12B.
- other bodyworks for future buses rather than just gemilang, gemilang and more gemilang. soon chow and cdge bodyworks would be nice.
- more Volgrens! :D
- better maintenance of buses, especially the current fleet of SMRT and SBST volgren bodied buses.

You're buying like as though they're all free.

Introducing more CityShopper isn't a good idea . Even SBST introduced the CityShopper svcs last yr , there was not much demand (though they rely on trunk svcs rather than an expensive fare on CitySHopper) . As a result the Cityshopper services were being scaled down from 7 svcs to 3 svcs this year.
But btw, are Citaros good then those with Gemilang bodyworks? SBST and SMRT should consider buying the Citaros. -
