Hmm sorry but how do you know it was built by ComfortDelgro Engineering? Perhaps a badge or something on the bus? This was because this tram was actually parked at the Liannex factory at Sg Kadut for much of last year...seen it almost every single day while on the MRT towards Yew Tee.
Of course it would be very interesting if CDGE Sg Kadut (which happens to be just opposite LIannex) borrows space from Liannex to park the tram while its still undergoing final works, but otherwise I find it hard to link the tram to CDGE.

There's one being seen inside HGDEP. If its only from Liannex, how it end up in HGDEP. So, might be both company built it. I duno! haha.
Ah icic thanks. It might be possible that either more than 1 unit exists (1 by CDGE in HDGEP and 1 by Liannex), or CDGE provides the Volvo chassis and related mechanical works while Liannex builds the body. Either case, the tram looks really cool and gorgeous compared to the current ones!

That's what i thought of too! Shall see if anyone could provide more information. The photos have already shown 2 units. Most probably one parked in hgdep, one unit in Liannex.

A lesson that can be learnt from Sydney:
Dont buy these B12s. FC very bad. Worse than O405/OC500/KUB. Its more of a truck shaped like a bus, IMO

Take SBST O405s with W3E. Will jerk the whole bus.

Your handphone...can take DT full EDS?
My cam could only take KUB full EDS only once......
A Volvo b12B bus is not an articulated bus .
A rear trailer is attached to the Sentosa tram i think. A 12 Litre engine bus like the Volvo B12B can certainly "pull more than its own weiight". it would be rather crazy if the trailer not added because these things can go up to 120km/h unhindered easily. Anyhow i heard the poor thing is limited to below 20km/h on the tram routes.
agahhhaha
the Volvo B12BLEA bus is indeed an articualted bus which are found commonly in Sydney under the STA .

haha. the poor B12BLEA has been limited up to 25kph, according to the sticker which states '25 km/h' limit at the rear, below the Volvo badge. how u noe that it is bodied by CDGE? look just at the side of the Volvo badge on the engine cover and you will know the answer.

this one is the B12BLE articulated chassis, just that Volvo won't possibly put the 'LE' together with the B12B badge, since the B12BLE is also in the family of the B12Bs.

Still spare. Yesterday very likely the bus was called in as last-min replacement (either bus broke down or the frequency went haywire due to jams @ Orchard) for one trip only (Yishun > Marina Centre). Off service @ around 7pm/MCT, went back depot refuelled & washed. It arrived back @ Yishun at around 8pm to park for the night.

Sydney's road conditions are different from ours. Syndey has alot more downhills and uphills as compared to our roads....comparing the vehicle's fuel consumption there and here is like comparing an apple to an orange...
