A BUS service will start running from Yew Tee in the north-west to the Biopolis next month during morning peak hours on weekdays.
But unlike mainstream bus services, it will pick up its passengers near their homes.
The unusual thing about it is that it is a bus service borne out of demand signalled by commuters online.

No news on this made to order bus route yet?

basically they have a website to "buspool" commuters willing to take the premium service then they will stop there. it's like a school bus system. and since it is not a scheduled service, it is not regulated by PTC.

actually depends on how they reallocate their resources... but using so many buses for a service is an overkill...

I guess is because of Potong Pasir Resident that's why they convert it into a WAB service.

think guess the route is short and most of the bus stop are WAB accessible...
for Sv 53, i think SBST have shoot itself... just few week ago, some one complain to newspaper that a Sv53 BC chase a family out of the bus as per instructions given by OCC. BC have allow them to board, as the wheelchair is folded.. but OCC instructed the BC to ask the family to alight... and for this SBST reply that most of the bus stops along Sv53 are not accessible to WAB, so they cant convert it to WAB service....
From 26 October 2009, Eight more Wheelchair Accessible Bus Services will be launched
