"TIB1127U accident along Newton Circus roundabout. Half of the front portion of the bus is on the five foot way and the bumper is completely destroyed. The articulator is twisted at an obscene angle. The front wheel looks like it has popped out. Breakdown truck is present to tow away vehicle now. The resulting mess is causing a jam from there till Tanglin Country Club along Dunearn Road and Bukit Timah Road, and till Hotel Royal along Newton Road.

Look like another TIB1105H, WLDEP will be headache with.

I've never liked the junction at Newton Circus especially with the traffic coming out from Clemenceau Ave North. -

Try to picture a bendy, the left first two wheel on kurb(higher than the other wheels), and without bumper.
Then picture a bus suspension spoilt, middle section of the articulator is twisted upwards... Like this...

Also looks like there is a fissure line on the windscreen but cannot confirm this as I was on another bus, which passed by the accident scene quickly.

Yah everytime the cars and buses especially coming in from Bt Timah Rd always gets stuck like crazy just because of the cars coming out from Clemenceau Ave North.The situation gets so tensed up when all the vehicles inch closer and closer to each other ready to turn at a small oppurtunity.The queue can get even worse and longer when there are many bendies stuck waiting to turn. -

TIB501D (AMDEP 961) spotted with its rear engine cover opened at Woodlands Reg Int; time of spotting was at 1319hrs & there was a slight damage to its front left side.
EDS was switched off & breakdown triangle placed at rear of the bus, approx about 5 mins later, bus was driven off.

TIB501D(AM 961) was spotted at Berth 14 of Woodlands Reg Int. There was a minor dent on the front left side of the bus. However the bus driver went to the back to open the engine cover. EDS was then switched off and breakdown triangle was placed at the rear of the bus, but after 5 mins hogging the berth, the bus was driven off under its own power. This was at around 1.15p.m.
2.
A unknown bendy was spotted just before the exit of Woodlands Reg Int. Engine cover was opened and there was a breakdown triangle too, just behind the bus. This was at about 1.30p.m
3.
SBS9104B on 98M at Berth A6 of Jurong East Interchange couldn't start its engine. The mechanic at JE Int managed to kickstart the engine, but it went off service soon after. It then proceeded to SLBP to change its battery.
4.
SBS9614X on 143, at Pasir Panjang Road. Windscreen banged into a large flying bird at 60kmph. Despite that, the BC continued driving. Bird is believed to be KIA as it banged headfirst to the windscreen. First bang of its windscreen of that trip.
5.
SBS9614X on 143, at the turn into Jln Toa Payoh from Thomson Road. Windscreen smacked into a large branch off a tree at that bend. Thunderous thud was heard and the branch snapped off. Branch appears to be lying on the road. Second hit of that trip.
6.
SBS9614X on 143, at Toa Payoh Int. Hit tree branch before it's stipulated turn into its berth. Third hit of the day. At the end of the trip, miraculously despite the loud bangs and thuds there was no visible damage to the bus.

1)SBS3805B brokedown exactly at 12.05pm, few metres away b4 opposite parc oasis condo bus-stop twrds JEI. I was onboard. The bus cant move despite max engine. i got a breakdown tix, up till now havent use =D
2)SBS3900J brokedown at a few metres before blk 551 bus-stop... spotted around 9.15pm. however, spotted 3 people havent alight from bus. dunno why. Cause is unknown.
Both buses desto still on at time of witness except when BC removed it from 3805B around 15 mins later

SBS 7380 H (HG 51) brokedown along Jurong Town Hall Rd outside Jurong Reg Library. Recovery truck was there. Seen at 6.40 pm. -
Wah seh, today is a suay day for buses isit? Quite alot of breakdown cases.

That minor dent on 501D has been there since more than a month already. Below shows a picture taken in September this year. But I don't think 501D langa-ed into another vehicle, think something was wrong with the engine.

There seems to be some crack above the EDS and is parallel to the damage beside the lights ... ...

That crack used to be there since even the AMDEP 171 days, and somehow last year that crack became even bigger.
