Bus: SBS 3701S
Service: 225G
Date: 6 Feb 2009, Friday
Time: 1950 hrs (at time of witness)
Location: Berth B4, Bedok Interchange
Nature of Breakdown: Suspected Transmission failureDetails
1. SBS 3701S on Service 225G was most probably about to move off from Berth B4 when the BC complained that his bus could not move.
2. At time of witness, destos were down. The bus remained stucked inside the bus bay.
3. Passengers of Services 35 and 225 had to board their buses from either behind or beside SBS 3701S. -

Details:
1. SBS 9260H on Service 8 was leaving bus stop when the bus broke down.
2. No further details were known.

Service: 31
Date: 24 Jan 2009, Saturday
Time: 1940hrs
Location: (76069) Blk 147, Tampines Ave 5
Nature of Breakdown: Jammed Transmission
Details:
1. SBS 9342E attempted to leave bus stop 76069 when the bus driver found that he could not accelerate his bus. The bus stopped a few metres short of the end of bus stop 76069 and got all passengers down from there.
2. The bus driver later managed to drive his bus slowly down but stopped after another few metres.
3. Destos were taken down and breakdown sign was placed behind the bus.
4. SBS 9554K, on cameo on Service 31, helped to pick up the passengers of SBS 9342E. -

SBS9376H or SBS9367J cameoing on 198/196/74 seen breakdown at North Buona Vista Rd near buona vista MRT about 7.55pm. Engine cover was opened.

6/2. two breakdowns
SBS434H on 154 breakdown at around 0700 hours at Clementi Stn towards Boon Lay
Unidentified box merc with blue Nikon ad broke down at eastbound Dunearn Road at about 2145 hours. Likely to be TIB607H or TIB756K on 67 or 171 respectively but cannot confirm rego. Engine cover was open and SMRT truck was behind. no pax on bus at time of witness.

SBS 9376 H (AR 65) brokedown on service 198 along North Buona Vista Rd after Dover Close East towards Buona Vista station. Seen at 6.00 pm. -

Lolx SBS9260H come to Tampines Ave 2 Bus stop (Blk 206) ther when i went to tution , it didnt breakdown or wad it continue it svc to Tampines Int, (SBS1940G(18) was behind SBS9260H)

this bus resumes service on 154 today. I saw that bus

TIB585L (WLDEP 858) breakdown along Sembawang Rd (Blk 114) bus stop, this is due to the battery faulty at about 5:45pm today.

Today
CSS185P (WLDEP SP/981) merely brokedown on svc 187.
Heres what happened:
I took this bus from BNL Int > CCK Road on 187 today. At around 7:15++pm at Bukit Batok West 7, the 'USED TICKET' box dropped, which caused a loud bang & covered the rear door sensor. Even though i was listening the music in my mp3 player, i was shocked by the noise of it. Anyway, aft when ppl alighted the bus at the same road's bus stop, the doors of the bus could not shut coz of the box i told earlier.

Seats are more comfortable than the O405s, acceleration just OK, suspension 'squishy, squishy' no 'boing, boing', 2 middle lights of the interior of the bus have already flickered, a very loose 'USED TICKET' box & aircon sometimes freezy, sometimes hot..

- Problem Discovered as PM Shift BC about to start shift
- Mechanic called in
- Engine Cover Open
- Breakdown caused a 30 minute hiccup as TIB918K (the bus behind it) was late.
- BC drove bus back to depot
- Depot staff rectified the problem and sent the bus back on service.
- Downroute from Bukit Merah Int.
