  Bus: SBS 7444H
  Service: 25
  Date: 10 Dec 2009, Thursday
  Time: 1916 hrs (at time of witness)
  Location: Bedok Interchange
  Nature of Breakdown: Unknown
  
  Details:
  
  1. SBS 7444H on Service 25 was attempting to reverse out of Berth A27 at Bedok Interchange when the bus stalled and stopped in the middle of the road.
  2. All passengers alighted and were ushered to wait at the berth. They subsequently boarded SBS 9432D.
  3. Destos were down at time of witness.
  4. Mechanics and "Green Men" were seen deployed to the scene to assist the bus captains.
  5. Service 16 and 33 were similarly affected by this incident. SBS 8340S was attempting to move out but was unable to (delayed departure), but slowly inched it's way out later on.
  6. SBS 9432D of Service 25 and SBS 0854D of Service 16 also experienced difficulties trying to reverse out. SBS 9432D had to do a V-shape manoeuver after reversing while SBS 0854D simply reversed but had to look out for SBS 7444H (the breakdown bus) to ensure it did not hit the rear of the breakdown bus.
  7. Other arriving Service 16 and 33 buses simply had to make use of the other berths to park their bus.

  12:12pm. TIB965Z BC seen handing breakdown tix to passengers. Bus was later seen driven to Bukit Batok int by techican.

  Anybody missing a Scania K230UB Euro 4?

  This bus (rego unknown, desto unfortunately not captured) was seen being towed by Private tow truck under contract with Traffic Police along Airport Road, towards Traffic Police compound yard opposite Paya Lebar Airbase.

  

  Usually involvement in fatal or serious accident with injuries then the vehicles involved would be towed to Traffic Police compound.

  Note that this photo was taken on 11th Dec 2009, at 9.45am.

  SBS687U (HGDEP SP) Brokedown while on svc 34 outside my Blk bus stop 370 at Tam Ave 7 at 1030am.Breakdown triangle was placed at the rear of the bus.All destos were taken out at time of witness.SBST tow truck was infront of the bus when i spotted it from my house.The mechanics brought out a pipe from the truck and went to the rear of the bus.Then they brought the pipe back to the truck and kept going in and out of the bus.Think they were checking something.
  
  After that when i stopped looking at the bus and went to check on it again a few mins later,it was gone.Think it was towed away alr.

  Today 687U breakdown also the SBST Volvo truck came to tow it away.Haha.Very common la like that. :)
  
  But this is the first time i see such a Scania tow truck towing away buses.Haha 3 axles one.Everytime is those more shorter 2 axles types of trucks like the SBST ones towing away buses.

  SBS2607M (Sv 107) First Bus from Hougang to Shenton Way declared breakdown at opp Lau Pa Sat Bus Stop.
  
  The warning alarm was activated when the bus was travelling along Anderson Bridge.
  BC called OCC and OCC told him to switch off the engine and restart it again. But the warning alarm still sounded and OCC told BC to declare breakdown.
  
  Replacement Bus was SBS842M

  Hankyu bus hits pedestrian bridge, 5 injured... Suita City, Osaka

  15th December 925 am (0925 hrs) at Hankyu Railways Minami-Senri station, a passenger route bus of Hankyu Bus (subsidiary of Hankyu Railways) collided with a pedestrian bridge (2.5-meter height) near the taxi stand. Out of the 8 passengers on board, 5 male and female passengers of 48 to 74 years old suffered injuries to their face and head.

  Suita Police is investigating the case from the bus driver (58 years old), suspected of dangerous driving causing injuries.

  Hankyu Company says that the driver saw a sign saying 'Priority to pedestrians' and thought that there is a detour. The company also commented that 'It is likely that the driver made a mistake, we apologize to the injured (passengers) and we will do our best to prevent such accidents again'.

  Accident bus is a Hino PK-HR7JPAE, fleet number 193 rego 大阪200�1676, non-step, registered 2005.

  TIB 641H(WLDEP 187)on Svc 852 broke down along Bt Timah Rd at about 3.50pm but after 5 mins, the SL managed to drive off the bus towards Bt Batok Int with 2 passengers on board which have not tap their cards on the Ezlink reader EDS displayed OFF SERVICE and back desto was taken off

  Last time when TIB429E had an accident at SLE near Tampines with a stationery lorry at road shoulder, causing 1 worker's death.

  It was towed to a place under Traffic Police compound for investigations. Pics were taken by a reporter at the place before going to WLDEP for repairs.

  For SMRT, their buses were towed by a tri-axle tow trucks.

  SBS 646M(BBDEP 170)on Svc 151 brokedown along Bt Timah Rd towards Kent Ridge Ter at about 3.45pm . At that time of witness,there was no one on board the bus and BC was waiting outside the bus. Front desto still up but rear desto was taken off

  Today

  SBS959K (HGDEP 105) brokedown at Queensway bus stop while doing 105 at around 5 plus going towards Jurong East. All destos were taken down and BC was sitting down patiently on his BC seat w/o pax.
  
  SBS8962Y (SLBP 502) 's BC was missing with passengers inside while doing 502 today at around 5.30pm. It was parked at Toh Guan Road's roadside (not bus stop). Both doors are open and where did he/she go to?

  TIB1217T heading to WLDEP to replace cracked windscreen. The web-like crack was big, might have been hit by a big object.

  Front EDS as per-normal: "KRANJI DEPOT".
