in fact, I saw that notice before cos I'm a regular sv 198 passenger as well.. I took the service to my sch. -
SBS7332Y has gotten their red-purple card readers, bringing to a total of 8 svc 198 buses with it.
If u all got try pulling out the emergency hammer, especially on B9TLs which is a cake for u to pull out easily. if u pull that thing out, a whirling sound is heard.
think i learned this in O level physics, a container that has vacuum with "vibrator" inside it.if u guys had tried 7368U 7378R and 7391B, the idle vibration has been fixed and forever gone alrdy. 7378R the weird transmission also fixed.

Service 198 always jam packed for SDs/DDs during peak hrs, sometimes like Service 190 - must wait for less packed bus available for boarding.
1. Nearest berth to BNL MRT station, so many ppl take to BNL/JW/JE
2. Passby a few markets/schools along the route
3. Direct service to AYE, IBP, Jurong Regional Library, NUH for ppl in BNL/JW/JE -

The length of the bus stop scream "temporary bus terminal" to me - I did read somewhere that that extra-long bus stop along Tampines Avenue 5 was a temporary terminal in Tampines' early days, and I was reminded of that bus stop when I saw this.

SBS9690A has been installed with Coolair EDS. TIB1062Y smsed me about it and I managed to spot it when I was on my way home (Am I outdated on this also?)
