I'm wondering...
If you see a bus with the EDS/Desto Plate wrong (like wrong direction), will you be KPO tell the bus captain/service leader about it? What happened then? Was he extremely thankful that you told him about it, or did he scold you up down left right center for being an idiot since most locals do not look at the desto plate/destination at all but the number only?

Got before. At WRI. Bus put 925 MARINA CENTRE. Approached SL and told him about the misleading details (yeah, someone who really thought the bus goes to town might end up in the Industrial park
). SL said EDS was spoilt, couldn't change back. =S
Other time was 854 SUNGEI BULOH NATURE RESERVE, saw it on 1198P while it's at Yishun. But SL nowhere to be seen. Once I took bus home and was surprised to see EDS displaying 812E ENDS AT YISHUN INT/MRT and so I told the SL that it may get misleading (St 61 loop doesn't have E routings unless it's emergency purposes)
Still, most common ones would be KUB EDS not changing to other direction or the side svc plates not changing to the other one. Surprisingly Sv111 BCs are quite automatic and will bother to change the side svc plates at Temasek Ave. But Sv133 BCs are quite lucky, their side svc plates do not need to be changed. ![]()
Saw 9078T on 143 with 78 as rear desto, I sms-ed 9888Y that a BC went off course. ![]()

i told 4A on 854 at bedok int to change her destination to yishun int.
if i take the bus halfway on its route, there's no use changing. everyone's misled already. ![]()
I occasionally see the OC500LE drivers accidentally press EZ-Link not working, pay cash on their EDSes. But the drivers always don't look friendly enough for me to approach to tell them that their EDS is wrong

This would be what I'm referring to...does anyone here tell the drivers that the direction is wrong and ask them to change it so as to not mislead passengers boarding en route ![]()
i had seen svc 99 rear destos overturned into 66.. OMG SVC 66 IS AMENDED TO JW AVE 1?!
some rear destos i seen has been overturned.
Yesterday night: 863J (KJ 189) got its front EDS totally blank, and I thought that its running on s190 so I flagged the bus, but after looking at the side display with '106' 'double crossed' out...
BC said the front display is spoilt. No choice...
Most of the time with digital display is the programming... Accidentally pressing a wrong number can lead to another service, that there is totally no surprise...

o.O...Programmer mistake...
A few years back, a BC driving Service 184 keyed in EDS as
"825 Clementi MRT" and started picking up passengers at Bukit Panjang Interchange.
Passengers hestiate to board while another BC who saw it shouted and signalled to his colleague to change the wrong number EDS.

16 Jan 2009*
SBS773D 579. Rear desto using 576. Dunno who to blame. The A shift driver (Who took that desto from office) Or the S shift driver (Never check service plate). Just can't help laughing. It ran off before I could get my camera ready. :(
*IIRC
Edit: To TS: No. I didn't tell the BC.

Lols. 925 gabra on Friday also TIB828L. Switch from WT_8 => 925 YISHUN VIA STAMFORD RD => 925 SUNTEC CITY then switch to correct EDS
969s have also shown 969 BOAT QUAY quite a couple of times before.
Once TIB1183G showed 900 LAST BUS when it was just doing its 2nd trip for the day
TIB745S once had a EDS which showed 985 and full 985 route details when it was in WRI.
Several buses have spoilt side EDS showing OFF SERVICE or some stuck service no. TIB639R showed a "1" a few days ago until it was repaired recently. TIB443M had "7" when serving 911 when it was still in WLDEP.
TIB1190K when serving 912 showed "114 WOODLANDS INT/MRT". SL got a great shock when he came out and saw it.
But I don't usually ask the SL do change it anyway. Never had I been so lucky to board a bus with a wrong EDS ![]()
