  its just temporarily replacing. any day the 2 of them will return to svc. the BIG "SP BR" stix says it all.

  Given now that BCs don't have to wait for behind bus to come then depart, if the bunching problem still persists then there's not much to be done already. It's the attitude of the drivers that counts.

  Since mid march there's 2 OS S shifts for 99, now with the revision effective today they add 1 S shift and convert 3 S shifts to A/P. In another way its add 1 A/P and convert 2 S to A/P

  Frankly speaking its due to the demographics and population of the western part of singapore that leads to the routes of the west being shaped like that, with 30 99 154 157 174 and 198 the only bus way out of the far west to the mid-west and beyond.

  Its also due to the limited roads in the west (Jurong East/West Ave 1, PIE/Jurong Rd, AYE and Boon Lay Way if you want to count) that makes no economical sense to intro another service to duplicate but adding buses would partly solve the problem.
