The reason is not to save cost, if they want to save cost. The current system of masking tape T plates are better than the small T now. Which even saves more cost. The reason is the way of BCs putting the T plate are damaging the bus body, that's why they changed the system.
And those oversized plates gets caught on doors, spring up and hit commuters in the face or they themselves get fractured. xD

TIB793C (WL 964) was driven by some female PRC driver this morning. She drove the bus to the berth and then while leaving the berth to start journey she was constantly looking at the back hoping she wouldn't hit the barriers being placed at the berth behind for the WAB works. What she failed to realise was that she was going too far front and the bumper scraped against the platform, and smoke was seen between the bumper and the platform with a horrible sound. The bus isn't really damaged since its only between the bottom of the bumper and the platform.

saw 825M (HGDEP 85) on svc 85 - off svc along amk ave 3 twrds Hg depot. din expect to see it go by this route

The refurbished PSV Soon Chow really look and smell great! New seats cushion, repainted seat back plus refurbished A/C ducts. A pity would be better if they could repaint the rims. Hope that MK3 can also adopt the same concept plus the strider and Dm3500 as their ducts are quite dirty liao.

Pasir Ris still using old one. Saw the old kind of T plates on 358 yesterday. And like the old 293 type. Screwed onto the bus :)

it was parked with 89 destos at hougang at 1645hrs. -
Massive jam at PIE around 6pm just now due to accident on lane 1 and 2. took 154 and was stuck at PIE for half an hour

sv196, sv36 goin to fail the LTA, PTC trunk route timings AGAIN!
Bus comes fulli packed during evening runs and frequency above 11mins...[from personal observations]
*sv196 schedule just adjusted last week[11/8]{was checking SBST web bus arrival timings] but still cant make it...
However, sister svc sv147 comes even more frequently than before... -

Lol. Also got new bumper with those bendies orange strips. The 2 corners at the back also got sprayed black instead of SMRT livery as parts of ads were taken off. -

TIB450S (So far i have seen) is a bus that always update itselfs. Last time, there is a "Chaota" Spot at the rear side of the bus. It repainted the part and now it become normal.

WLDEP has 2 rigids and 2 bendies like that.--TIB505T & TIB525K got orange strips.
--TIB1141C & TIB1230D don't have orange strips. -
