Bendies unload passengers at major bus stops at least twice as fast as DDs that require people to climb down that flight of stairs. So you can have 3 DDs and 2 bendies unloading the same amount of passengers each but the bendies will close doors and drive off faster. Period.
Bendy buses have shown to work and are still working, and are set to work in the future. At least I'm glad people are appreciating the usefulness of bendy buses in heavy passenger loading routes.

Bendy buses still take up too much space at the bus stop. This disallow other buses to stop at the bus stop. I think I still rmb clementi stn that bus stop still hav this prob.

I feel that bendys should be used for high demand feeders and some trunks. But please keep them off busy roads like orchard rd. Yes, i agree that they can unload all pax faster but majority of bus stops dont really have much alighting activity. 2 DDs will take around the same time as 1 bendy.

Totally agreed.

Those Scanias with CCTV will have the blue "CCTV in operation" sticker paste adjacent to the "BUS STOPPING" light.
Example : SBS8800G
adding on for buses with CCTV in operation sticker:
SBS9319Z(spotted beside validator)
SBS8318H
8987B also has the CCTV in operation Sticker

Let's say using 2 bendies (2x 18m = 36m) and 3 DDs (3x 12m = 36m), if we time each set individually offloading the same number of pax each (say 80 for each DD and 120 for each bendy), bendies take much faster to unload that 150% more pax and can close doors faster than DDs which still require some pax to exit the flight of stairs. Note that each type of buses are offloading 240 pax in this case, and both types of buses have been added to reach 36m. And we are assuming in this case that everyone is alighting.
Basically 80 pax leaving from that 2 exits (assuming you can use entrance doors) while 120 pax leaving from 3 exits. Though it may seem like bendies offloading more pax but eventually both types of buses are offloading average 40 pax each from the individual doors. However bendies don't need pax to climb down stairs so they can directly get up from their seats and head for the exit doors while in a DD, a noticeable fraction of pax still need to go down the stairs.
So eventually what you get is that bendies shut their doors faster and move off, while DDs are still struggling with that last bit of pax.
So this is not about how long the buses are, even though yes it may seem to hinder other vehicles, but how fast they can let passengers off, because how long they stay in the bus bay depends on how fast they let passengers off. Assuming the above situation continues on, meaning at regular intervals 2 bendies and 3 DDs arrive again, we find that this bus-blocking problem exists in both cases, and not just bendies.
SBS 8601P has the CCTV in operation sticker
SBS8613E also had the CCTV in operation sticker

I full agree on this point, but however, what if the local bus body makers who designed an ''imaginary DD'' which had 3 doors (2 rear doors and 1 entrance) and 2 stairways leading to the upper deck? Would it make the rate of unloading a DD to be twice as faster?

It would probably be faster, yes, but until then.
SBS2793H has got CCTV fixed at the back of the bus, exterior. Its directly in the middle, just below the "Fisherman's Friend" word.
Almost all BN KUBs, Mk 4 DM & 3500 have CCTV sticker...

Waiting time for 903 (5.27pm (Tine I reached bus-stop to 5.37pm, 10 mins) TIB816X was fully-packed, so the BC decided to skip the Riverside bus-stop.
13mins later TIB1140E and TIB1056R came. Most of RP people had to take TIB1056R (inculde myself) as it was almost empty whereas 1140 was around 85% packed.
To conclude, 903 desperately needs a shortworking trip from Riverside Rd to WDL to supplement the crowds from RP after school day ends. Their 'peak' time is around 4pm to 6pm (for UT time only) whereas 4pm to 5pm (when there is no UT) Furthermore, rigid should not cameo (to replace bendy perm) on this service during that timeso that commuters won't wait longer for the next bus to come.

Germans are doing it, the MAN Lion City DD have 3 doors.
Also note the increasing trend and popularity of DDs, many cities in the world can't live with bendies simply because they have been causing congestion.
DD bus so slow people in bus stomach pain jialat liao o.o
I think there's no longer a need to post abt the blue cctv sticker pasted near the interior rego plate.Sooner or later all buses with cctvs will have the sticker.Almost all the B9s and kubs i have took recently have that sticker.

Today Orchard Road bus services very powerful. Buses which passes through that area at 6-7pm plus are severely behind schedule due to massive traffic jam & raining non-stop there. One bus which is SBS8999S on Express 502A is severely late by 47 mins.
