but i'm still giving it a benefit of doubt..
All my posts in this thread have been deleted. I don't want to create any more trouble. Pretend I was never here. My non-posting exile will be extended inedfinitely.
so this yutong bus is a MIC product..
if so then i'd rather they purchase more of the Mercedes-Benz OC500LE..
Argh I dun care so much about the model... As long SMRT can buy more buses to IMPROVE their "cannot make it" frequency, I am more than happy le...
looks like a hideous successor to the slowly aging ELBO Scanias
Due to irrelvent content - i shall take over this post to save space
ZYX: Very good. China buses are known for their unqiue engine sounds. This one shd be expected to be a Cummins engine. EURO IV the very least. it will sound very European and shd surpuise some of the bus fans here. Bus is a WAB model. the digits 12 in the model seem to indicate it is a 12 litre bus.... may be. not sure.
The windows are very big. Very germany European i like. But that is expected of a Yu Tong bus.
I have personally sat in a Yu Tong coach in Hong Kong and found the ride to be comfy. tiny rattling but comfy.
SMRTbuses may have ordered bulk, hope to see more of these guys.
For those who want to sit China WAB,. there is already one in Sentosa, a King Loong

Dosent look photoshopped to me. Even if the author wanted to photoshop the picture, why SMRT buses? On the bright side, we now have the yutongs to carry on the legacy of Asian Buses in Singapore once the Volgren Hinos are retired. :D
Personally, have taken numerous Yutongs and Kinglongs in Singapore and China. I wouldn't mind taking them daily. TS, do you have pics of the front? Interested!
Catering to the increasing number of PRC drivers in sg?
HOPE it's not true!

PUI!
Saw Phaik Hwa, stop pouring our hard-earned money into your useless loss-making investments and your hair recolouring sessions, and then scrimping like this on commuter comfort. Get the fark out of SMRT. You are ruining what used to be a good name. You have drove Trans Island into hell. You are a disgrace to the public transit industry of Singapore. You desevre to be stoned, kicked, and run over by a bus from your very own company you run. I shall curse you with ill health and cursed luck till the end of days, I shall curse and hex your entire family for all future generations, and I will curse your company with losses and that you will never ever be able to get a fare hike approval from the authorities till you leave it.
quote for the sake of quoting this stupid kid.
Irrelevant
Haha no lah. the pic is very real.
Look on the bright side, at least we have variety.
But I wonder what EDS SMRT would use. The Rear EDS slot looks exactly like the ones of public buses in China!

Chances are they will use what they currently have (if its true - can't find any press releases on yu tong's website), then the rest just filled black. It's just a big hole there ![]()

If they use the EDS as shown in the picture, ...
No more Cut EDS already. Support! ![]()
BTW: Noticed something else. Buses in China are LHD. The one in the picture is RHD. Unlikely to be photoshopped.
