saw it last year on 185 after it exited PIE from the slip road, towards clementi direction. from the flyover onwards, the bus just kept on accelerating from 40kmh [the usual speed at a PIE slip road, provided got ram accelerator abit]. the condition was achieved partly due to not much traffic coming from the slip road and that the BC was rushing for time of cos. [dur to many ppl]
max i saw was 75km/h on 52.

Haha so true man... Continuing on...
I would agree to someone who says that they bring the vehicle to a test track to test out its speed. There, even a Citaro/OC/Scania K can hit 120 km/h. Besides, SMRT would not be interested at the least to test out the speed of a bus, as long as the bus brings in the revenue, can work with least problems and cost, thats it for the company!
Remember folks, SMRT and SBST is a transport company, not a motor vehicle tuning company. Its good to discuss but don't pull it to fantasy levels!

I believe speculating in the svc the Yutong may be deployed to is ok, since later on we can discuss on wether if it can handle passenger loads, or run long hours *cough8030cough* without problems etc.
Well, the speed is certainly unecessary, max speed of most buses go 60kmph, maybe at most just measure the acceleration of the Yutong ba

Maybe the next thing they gonna discuss is wether the Yutong can race with other buses ![]()
btw e Yutong revved to max, it's entire bodywork would have crumbled.![]()

I have took so many kubs on expressways which simply don't have acceleration at all and just stay at ard 45 km/h.Although i have to admit that a few kubs i took be4 have sped quite fast but definitely not as fast as 80-90 km/h.If kub can really hit that speed,i really salute it man.
it can. just that it won't do that so easily.
9522C completely pwned 8135T that time. 8135 was already locked at 60km/h, and 9522 came out of nowhere and just sped past us.

Did it have a rego or still a blue plate?

Well, time to wait and see.....shouldn't be long now!
Chinese buses use Cummins engines right?
