Let's do a post by post translation~

#9: (in a suprised tone) singapore's buying yutong buses?!
#10: the bus looks really good! i want to drive it :p
#11: i think the possibility of it going to HK or Macau is bigger
#12: referring to #11, not possible, the livery is already on.
#13: referring to #11, smrt is (one of) singapore's transportation companies
#14: anyhow, it isn't going to be used in (mainland) china
#15: from the body of the bus, we can tell that this is made for SMRT in Singapore and that they have ordered it. they should be ordering another 860 more of them. They have plans to revamp their entire bus fleet to run at least euro 4 emission standard buses. Last year, they have recruited chinese drivers from china as bus captains with a monthly salary of 8000 RMB (impossible for it to be SGD, 8000 RMB = 1760+ SGD).
#16: any other photos?
#17 irrelavant, not translated
Chances are post number 15 is false. lol - save for the salary part.

Yea. Spore is RHD. China is LHD. Edited the original post.
Yeah I also went to follow...blur liao last night. no wonder when i was reading your post I found it weird...
the same model in Guangzhou .But the face was difference from Beijing.this is new generation face

I have a feeling tht this Yutong bus would be registered as SMB68R..
Ok ok... back to topic...
I'm sort of wondering what EDS should this bus use... heh...
Notice the seats are configured to be like those of the KUB in between both doors.

From wat i see from the pix up there, i think maybe they will use Coolair EDS?

For demonstrator maybe. But again there's no sign of any side EDS mounted on the bus. Perhaps it will be fitted with Lawo when it reaches Singapore.

SMRT order the new 12m bus ZK6126 from YUTONG??it's that true?
the pic from YUTONG plant and published in 92bus forums~

i think this yutong is the latest one. i meant the bus is fitted with alcoa technology whereby it is light made by aluminium. go google and check 'alcoa yutong bus'. this is the assumption made by me....

then the next 66 batch, SMB 69 - SMB 134, i think..
If I'm not wrong the correct model name for this bus is actually the ZK6128HG...

the english website only have ZK6128,ZK6126HGA only in Chinese website
the rear axle looks suspiciously like those from the hybrid mitsu aero fuso ive seen in some other thread here..
the bus would look much better if it had window tint on, haha. leaving the windows whited-out just looks wierd
ok la, the overall design is not bad. just that the windows seem abit too low IMHO. and the rear axle is, ugly, cus it sticks out this far.
Notice that the CRP & EZ-Link readers have already been installed...
A CBU unit... typical TIBS-traditional style of purchase. The backside no bumper... pass LTA standards? The bottom black stripe look thinner than most other current SMRT models. The bodyworks looks nice. Let's see if the interior holds up to the Merc durability standard or become as loose as the Elbo's.
I don't care where it is made or where it come from as long as it offers a chance at a better suspension than the Lance and a quieter engine than the Lance :D
A pity LTA banned new bendies. China has been making artics for many years.

isn't the EZlink equipments installed upon arrival to the depot?
Also, according to the pictures the bus is fully low floor from front to rear - a plus. but from the pic the configuration like not this case (gemilang bodied buses)
And for this model, hope they do away with the hopper windows and use darker colored glass.
A rather new and unique bus model to be spotted on the Singapore roads soon
.
Hope that SBST and SMRT buys more of such buses apart from the european models that is very common nowdays.

I don't think the picture at the first post in this thread suggests so. The last row of seats are positioned in a height similar to the Genilang bodies.

agreed.
The yutong bus may be the similar model here debuted at olympics
-> http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tIfaEDT0pgQ. Plus it is credible, so i think the misconception towards China buses should go away soon!
Yutong- largest bus mfg in China and Alcoa, world's leading producer and manager of primary aluminum, fabricated aluminum and alumina facilities, and is active in all major aspects of the industry. Sounds good. Preview the gearbox and engine noise all in the video.
edit - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jcQBmFOGYd8 the closest model number of the bus gearbox and noise...sounds SMRT-ish during the trip.
@ocean - ya i also spotted that. haha.
whoa just one day and i get so many posts :P
so er... any updates of the seats on this bus?
