SBS1688K also. But it will still come out and do service 163 as a replacement bus when necessary.

Yah i know that.

sian, and i thought i and TIB958U could bring TIB1062Y for a ride on the Yutong lol.
Is the Yutong on 854 tdy? If so, does anyone have the timings? Thinking of joyriding on it today =)
I waited from 2:30pm to 5:10pm at Bedok (more than 1 loop) but could not see the bus. Please kindly jot down the whereabouts tomorrow as you see the bus, no matter whether on svc854 or not.

ALso note that the bsu breakdown before service on first day
Perhaps the bus made were not suitable with the climate of Singapore? Hmm...

SMRT bought the bus probably since there are many Yutong, King Long buses in SG, so the bus should be suited to the climate. Probably SMRT is still getting used to the bus, just like SMB1H.

.. Sigh......
I don't understand the pessimism of you guys when it breaks down. Doesn't mean it broke down == SMB1H/demo fate. This is an opportunity for the maintainence crew to also learn about the bus and rectify the problem so that it can run more smoothly and learn where to fine tune the bus so that the settings can be applied to the production models.

No, we're not pessimistic. Its just that demos tend to break down often during the first few days of service. Not that we didn't expect it anyway. New model sure they have to get used to it right? And lets see if they can tune the torque....

The spirit of old school spotting. We used to spend hours looking for a bus before something called iris came into play. The SMS cameo network back then was way efficient than it is now.
That is what I call united and information sharing.

Have they fixed that noisy 'PPSSSSTTTT' system and that dumb 'beeeeeeep'?
I just now asked a SL also from svc 854. He said that the Yutong kana scratch or something while washing in WLDEP, also going to retrofit the window glasses and reprogram the computer inside the bus. Most probabily will show back on the roads next week he said. (he still ask me to go inside to AMDEP to have a look)
