SMRT Yutong bus - A discussion on China buses

People, its no point saying that the yutong bus is expecting to do other SMRT services. I can assure that the bus do not ever appear on other services so please do not keep whining over it. It's very annoying to see people who come out with prediction on expected cameos for that bus but realise that it didn't happen later on. I hope you will understand every single word I say.

how you can assure that it wont ever appear on other services? How can you be so sure?

Currently only 854 permers with experience can drive the bus. So I presume the chance of the bus cameoing in near future is quite impossible.

Honestly I do not know... But I've only seen 854 details so far. I think someone saw "OFF SERVICE" one or two weeks back? So far the only shifts the bus did are AM/PM 01 and 02, and couple of S shifts.

the Sv854 SLs with experience can drove other service with this bus.. depending on situation right?

It will move around different full day shifts every week. Last week it did AM/PM 03, this week it will move on to AM/PM 04 shift. -
Does any one know if the Yutong is out on svc today?

That would be a one in a million chance, given the bus is a demo. Besides, SMRT SLs with perm services seldom do other services.

SMB135E do on 854/854E in the morning and became Off Service for new BC to learn. Thats what I heard from the Trainer and the BC who are training. Trainer told me that the bus will only do on 854/854E.

The bus was not on 854 today, it is sleeping in Yishun Int.

Can Yutong cameo on 854/859 x-over slot? Since it is driven by one of 854 drivers too. -
Spotted the Yutong on 'Off Service' travelling along Hougang Ave 2 this morning at 7.55

i saw it this morning, 0735-0740 on off service on PIE(Tuas) exiting at eunos turning right to eunos link.
thought it would start downroute somewhere. but apparently not. -

Or probably the SL found some defects / broken down equipments (like aircon) on the bus hence he ended trip before he even started.

There's a bus (think its S108 or S106) that goes off service from Bedok to Hougang Ave 2 to do a downroute towards Bedok.
