then that solves it then.
u-turn at hg ave 2/yck rd junction and start downroute towards bedok. ![]()

i saw it this morning, 0735-0740 on off service on PIE(Tuas) exiting at eunos turning right to eunos link.
thought it would start downroute somewhere. but apparently not.
Managed to catch the Yutong today after camping at Bedok Inter for about 1.5hours.
The engine do sound like european buses that we all are used to. The ride was smooth and does not jerk much, also notice that Entrance door comes with the door closing signal.
Air con wise, it is generally cold despite the bus being packed and the hot afternoon weather. However, if you are seating at any of the 4 seats at the back, it can be quite stuffy and squeezy. There is also a big gap between the seats and the window and it feels kinda awkward.

Verdict: 7.5/10, Would not be surprised if SMRT decide to buy more of the Yutongs ![]()

Is it true?
(From Wikipedia)
However, I heard the same rumour before, but SMRT purchased MB Citaro, so would it be unreal rumour as well??
To be honest, I don't really mind to see more Yutong and Citaro in Singapore~~

Citaro is at C&C now. With a SMRT Livery like but without SMRT logo.
My review
Overall: Nice bus, full credit for Yutong to use european materials, well appointed interior
Suspension: Much better from KUBs , i have not a single major jerk from Yishun to Bedok despite BC running at near max speed
Engine etc cannot comment as i have not much depth in this area
Acceleration is acceptable, faster than some bus
However, the granny seat need to move to the ;left a little, cause now is not 1.5 but 1 seat as the 0.5 is blocked
Back reader must move down a little, small kids cannot reach, similary for the ticket box
Otherwise is fine
1st ride tdy
My review for the Yutong
Rating: 8.5/10
Overall:
- Even though the A/C vent is un-adjustable, it still feels very cold and not stuffy
- Seats definitely better than OCs
- Transmission sound is audible, but softer than OC
- Vibrates lesser than OC
- No jerkiness; better than batch 1 OC
- No more 'TSHHHH~~' sound when opening and closing of doors
- Door Closing announcement softer than OC
Bad points:
- Seat colour seemed abit plain
- Rear left ez-link card reader is abit higher up than the one on the right; but reachable.
- Seats on the rear are cramped since there is an 'awkward' space between the window and the seat of the rear
- Bus Stopping chime kept on 'pressed' when actually no one does; (is it fixed already?)
- Side-facing seats on the front could have been better if its forward-facing.
the absence of jerk is due to the heavier bodywork (closer to B10M?) versus the lighter aluminium body used by Gemilang...
it's been some time i took this bus.
i clearly remember the sound made when i shifted my ass on the seat. ![]()
For those wanna catch SMB135E this week,
SMB135E is running on Duty 854AM/PM02 this week.
> Depart arnd 1700hrs from Bedok. (Approximate timing)
> Front Bus is 578H for weekday PM peak
The demo is actually for SMRT SLs to feedback what is lacking and whatsoever. To be frank the quality is not so bad,Even better than Gemilang body i dare say.Improvement are expected if SMRT decide to purchase the order suchs as door sound,Rear seats, aircon ducts etc.To be honest the bus look swaku with those rim cover.Engine is 6.7litre right?Cummins euro5 with 285ps@2300rpm and [email protected] they order the latest ZK6128HGA who know?
if they do get more, something needs to be done with the rear seat. the gap to the window so far.
and the material for the seat, everytime move butt... ![]()

pppppfffff....
I do hope they can get more of Yutong, but not to the extend that it's more than OCs.
Cheers.

I quite like the refined Yutong for it's internal air-con circulation flow concept and it's refined interior mechanics. But if they do decide to order more Yutongs, maybe they can revise the choices of EDS equipment as well as the rim covers...

But as compare to the VO3X LECIP, I think Yutong one is better.
Cheers.
I've got strong feeling they will buy few Yutongs with minor facelift.Maybe larger EDS,Rear seats,New cushion and more refined bodywork. This time i think the most is 29 units..

My Review For Yutong SMB135E
Rate : 8/10
Good Point :
> Got some cold air when you enter the bus
> Feels comfort in the bus
> Feels like taking a tour bus
> Can easily sleep in the bus with such a good seats and air-con!
Bad Point :
> Do not have the "Doors Are Closing" but just the "Toot" part.
Taken time : 6:45pm - 7:00pm
Time slot which i know for today was : 4:15, 6:45. Both timing are infront of SMB19H.
