at least one person has boarded 128 in toa payoh. me xD
TPY should have been skipped in the first place. Doesn't make sense to go to TPY and Braddell when you can go to Bishan directly from Novena via Thomson Road.

on fridays, after my cca, i will always take 128 from the novena stop(eventhough i need to walk to the novena church) to my house in braddell. less than 7 mins reach. if i take 57 it will be around 20-30 mins. 143 and transfer to feeder bus will be around the same time taken on 57. it is fast and time-saving. a few people also take to my stop. wasted this bus never stop at my house again.... ![]()
I believe its the potential to capture more ppl in Bishan/AMK, traffic woes in Toa Payoh & low catchment in Toa Payoh that ignite this amendment.
Toa Payoh is a famous place for cars to avoid the costly ERP. For me getting out of toa payoh via car @ Kim Keat Link takes 5min instead of usual 2.5 min, via Toa Payoh Lor 2 to PIE takes 7min instead of 5.5min during peak.
Not forgetting the queue from Trellis stop into Toa Payoh Lor 2 during pm peak, and another queue from Toa Payoh Lor 1 Blk 202 to Toa Payoh Access Rd + Toa Payoh Lor 6 PCPS to the Access Rd junction..
PLUS the bottlenecks at Toa Payoh North Flyover to Braddell Rd (East), and its slip rd to Braddell Rd (West)

getting around via mrt or 143 from tpy to 128's route is still better than via 128 so i dun see the need of it.
tpy is one of the worst towns to drive in but better towns to live in.

oh yah i second that :)

time savings from TPY to town by train is too much to entice people to take sv128...
