[Locked] How to get from Jln Toa Payoh to PJC?

  Hi people, how long does it take to travel to PJC from Jalan Toa Payoh? I will be taking bus 985. You can provide more bus alternatives if you want.

  Try it yourself. No one can be 100% sure, traffic conditions and etc are all another factor.

  TPY -> Bukit Timah is about 25 minutes already. And there's the morning jam.

  as an added point, try it yourself at these different times, 0640hrs, 1200hrs, 1745hrs & 2100hrs.
  
  because u'll find urself going home at such timings after school anyway.

  If you happen to miss 985, try this:
  
  Option 1
  Take 966 and transfer to
  190 at Bukit Panjang Road (Crossover overhead bridge @ Bukit Panjang Road)
  
  OR
  
  Option 2
  105, 151, 153, 154 and transfer to
  190 at Whitley Road (Crossover overhead bridge @ Whitley Road)
  
  985 loops too much, so it takes a while to reach PJC. You can try walking a bit. Takes lesser time, especially option 2 above.

  option 2 is the fastest in my opinion. 985 and 966 this buses take quite a while to come.

  1) Jalan TPY -->Whitley Rd: 5 mins
  2) Whitley Rd --> PJC: 20-25 mins
  
  That is assuming there is no traffic jams. Part 1 of the journey often encounter jams outside SJI, especially during school term.
  
  Note that 190 comes at around 10 mins frequmcy in the morning at around 7-7.30.

  I assume you're taking bus from opposite Trellis Towers (BS 52079)

  Your options are :

  105/151/153/154 to Whitley Rd (Aft Tanglin CC - BS 40239).

  journey time from opp Trellis Twrs to Whitley Rd is roughly 5-7 mins at 6+ in the am.

  Cross the bridge to Raffles Town Club (BS 40231) and get on 190. 190 arrives at RTC at these timings: (approximate)

  0628 0638 0648 0658 0708

  From experience the 0638 bus gets you to Teck Whye Ave by 0705h. Factor in the 10 minute walk to school and you reach at 0715.
