why SBS so kaypoh, go and apply to covert svc 178? they must know SMRT short of buses lah...
This has been discuss somewhere in this forum, apparently there's a mistake i think.
Isn't service 852 being proposed to extend to Sembawang Interchange in the future?
Anyway, the proposal was rejected... so... back to ground state....

Just a rumour. I think it will never happen.

Don't think it will happen. Do you know that service 852 was planned to be withdrawn in 1996 when Woodlands MRT extension opened? At the last minute, the plan was not implemented but the route was shortened from Yishun - Boon Lay to Yishun - Bukit Batok.
The service was almost withdrawn in 1996, now SMRT applied for a cutback of route to AMDEP. So I don't think the route will be extended.
Wad for? convert Svc178 to peak hour service?

178 and 852 are the company's two most disliked svcs i heard. wanted to withdraw. so decided to do this method.
A bit off topic, but...
Hold on. Anyone noticed this under the October 08 section?
- Route extension for Service 882 to Sembawang MRT Station.

If the PTC allows that company to mess around with those two routes, then I can declare that it's the day that company has successfully brainwashed the PTC.
Until then, I guess the rational heads at PTC will never allow anything to happen to these two routes. Personally, I can nearly gurantee you that these two routes will go to SBS Transit when LTA takes over the central planning of bus routes and auctions off these two routes.

If SMRT really successfully amends 852 to terminate at AMK depot, all the students along the stretch of schools along Bt Timah that live at Bullion Park and north beyond will seriously screw SMRT upside down. Think they don't know how many HCJC, NJC & NYGS people utilise 852 everyday.

Well, if nobody takes these two routes in that event, LTA will force it on someone. We all know their style.

I suppose they want to make 882 call at 58219 and 58211 - along Sembawang Way.

it'll be bundled up somehow
actually 178 do have its uses
I took 178 practically every day during my younger days...![]()
Probably they could amend the route slightly to make it more profitable?

as mentioned above it is a typo.... don't think you can try to make suggestions on your rivals' services serving their own residents right?
looking forward for this
