Gearbox doesn't really seem to influence the acceleration significantly.Looking at the ZF/Voith MKIIIs, ZF/Voith MKIVs, and of course the 0405Gs and B9TLs.

Top speed is determined largely by engine, but a gearbox which provides a faster accleration allows vehicles to reach its top speed faster. Also, take into account that our buses are speed limited.

all i have to say is you really need to broaden your mind. one man's meat is another man's poison. you should not promote SLBP like its really great and demote AMDEP like its really bad. its called propaganda. fact is SLBP isnt better than AMDEP.
