[Rumour] BB Feeders to be taken over by WLDEP in March 09

  Ok, i'm not sure if this is real but there has been rumour and chatter going on amongst WLDEP BCs that WLDEP would be taking over control of BB Int Feeders starting End-March due to service complaints by commuters about the bad service by China PRC BCs who apparently keyed in wrong EDS codes and mess up the fare stages. This may signal a couple of redeployments here and there, inclusive of a possible OC500LE Depot Transfer to WLDEP.

   

  OT: SMRT would be hiring 100 more PRCs this year.

  In the first place it's a RUMOUR, like you have said it.

  Anyway I'm quite sure they don't hand a service to another depot just because of customer complaints. Like this I say that AMDEP BCs drive very slowly on the 851 OCs, then 851 becomes under WLDEP? What kinda logic is that. -__-"

  What looks more likely is that they want to allocate resources properly in accordance with SMGs for a couple of reasons. Mainly

  1) to clear up parking space for new buses OR
  2) also to clear up parking space but probably for new arrangements amongst the SMGs or even new services.

  Sometimes the IDFC goes haywire and stops updating. I've seen the bus stop display information go backwards on a Tampines bound 969 before.

  If that really happens and OC500LEs do transfer to WLDEP. I think LTA must quickly renovate WRI.....

  Do note that Bus Interchanges and Terminals is belong to LTA, not SBST or SMRT

  Erm. You don't catch my drift. When OC500LE is transferred to WLDEP, it will obviously have to do a service going to WRI. Given a Wheelchair-unfriendly interchange like WRI, renovation is needed like installing a lift, bringing down the kurb or make a wheelchair-accessible berth.

  change the OC500LE's desgination to a "Super Low Floor bus" and superglue the ramp to the body.>.< ok that's lame haah

  Maybe they do the transfers but the OCs get exchanged with another depot and redeployed again.

  and so far i dont recall WRI having wheelchair accessible services. hmm.

  Cannot be lar cus it is a long way for WLDEP buses to come the long way down BB just for feeder service.

  u wanna kay qiang or wad, I dunno. But 1 thing for sure is that WLDEP alr full alr how to transfer OC500LE to WLDEP.

  Check Bc's Roster after next week. All KJDEP BB Feeder Service BC are all STANDBY!!! and the KJDEP BB Feeder BC's are informed that Chinaman will take over BB Feeders, Depot not sure yet. but moslty is WLDEP Chinaman. will double check this.

  refuel at SBST BBDEP lah... or even better, transfer all BB service back to SBST..
