I have a 0305 Mercedes Bus ex. Transperth. Bus No 371
I fitted the bus out as a motorhome and have had the bus for about 7 year now. It has been very reliable.
I am having trouble getting detailed mechanical information on these busses.
Can anyone tell me about the reliability of these busses and what faults they may have?
I have also been trying to confirm the horse power of the motor. There are so many versions of these motors I can't seen to get the correct info on the horse power.
My engine number plate has OM 407 hx1 stamped on it under engine type.
The engine number starts with 407 914....
Does anyone know the horse power of this engine?

Hi,
You may want to post your question again on the Bus Australia forums (www.busaustralia.com/forums) particularly in the Western Australian Section. There are definitely many experts there who will be able to help you.
I remember riding 371 when it was in service with PATH Transit.

Not quite. 426 has a STÜLB front-end whereas 371 has a VÖV front-end.
