What is the faster way from Yishun to Tanah Merah MRT?

I like to know if what public transport to reach from Yishun MRT to Tanah Merah MRT, cos by MRT needs around an hour.
Cannot afford to take taxi now, pls help.

Bus is worst imo.

take the mrt is the best coz direct..
yishun > city hall > tanah merah
if bus then take 969 to tampines int then transfer to mrt..

Bus might be a solution if u take 969 but the crowd for 969 is damn godly alot... u take 969 then transfer another bus...
u try using ask iris route planner in sbs webby...

take mrt to tampines, and then bus 969

not necessary, cos sometimes bus can be faster than MRT, for example if u are in the west area and trying to get to north, there is like express 506, it is faster than MRT -

how long is the travelling time from Yishun to Tampines Interchange if i try to catch the first bus?

Take bus 858 to changi airport (estimated travelling time: approx 30 mins depending on traffic conditions), then either take mrt to tanah merah or take shuttle bus from changi airport. Edit: bus 969 and bus 858 stops at the same bus-stop opposite Yishun mrt

I went to the transitlink website to check, but the estimated travelling time was like 70min.. :s
Which bus stop got the shuttle bus and what is itz frequency like?

Hmmm......., looking at the bus route, it can't possibly be 70 mins. How did you get the 70 mins travelling time ? I am not exactly sure which bus-stop at changi airport has the shuttle service but if you want to know the frequency of the shuttle service between changi airport and tanah merah, please refer to this website: http://www.smrt.com.sg/trains/train_timings.asp I usually take bus 858 to changi airport, then take mrt from changi airport to tanah merah.

i went to tick the 2 boxes and press calculate fare, it listed how many bus stops and the estimated travelling time from "ticked box 1" to "ticked box 2". -
Looking at the route, I also don't think it'll take 70 mins la. From yishun, final stop at jalan kayu then next is changi airport already. I think probably takes 40 mins at least?
But hey, if there's a quicker way to tanah merah or bedok, I would be interested to know too!

From transit link website: Bus 858: Estimated traveling time from Yishun mrt to Changi Airport mrt: 70 mins Bus 969: Estimated traveling time from Yishun mrt to Tampines Interchange: 64 mins But, if you look at the bus routes of both buses, it really doesn't justify the estimated traveling time taken from transit link website. From memory, both buses traveling time from yishun mrt to the designated locations is definitely shorter than the estimated time from transit link. Maybe their estimated timings for both buses are taken using the slowest bus driver.

it seems like bus 969 is a better choice given that the transfer from the shuttle service has its waiting time, whereas waiting time for MRT from Tampines to Tanah Merah will be shorter, i think. The risk of getting a traffic jam of 858 is higher than 969 as it travel on 3 expressway and 969 travel on 2. i think i have my answer, thanx, just hope morning traffic is not that bad.

Wear your underwear outside, paste a capital “S” on your chest and tight a red cape over your shoulder. Raise one of hand straight. This is the fastest way.

bus 969 from yishun to tampinese takes at most 30 min. cos after yishun, it goes sle all the way.

take 858 and drop at Terminal 3. ( journey around 30-40 minutes during off-peak hour ) , take train which is 1 stop away.
Peak hour, forget about taking bus because it will jam like siao.

Take 39 to Tampines Int and Transfer Sv 31 to Tanah Merah Mrt lor
